So seizing the Nigeria commision is also caused by Igbos, ewu

Instead of calling Ipob that want to turn Ghana to Lagos to order. Ghana is only been proactive in protecting their citizens interest. Forget about ECOWAS bullshit. Nigerians should stop embarrassing our dignity around small Africa countries in the manner they run to those small countries in the name of hustling or business. Nigerians especially the easterners should stop this madness so that we can be respected

Reading through this I realised t h at Ghana has done a lot of wickedness to Nigeria and Nigerians and its deliberate with the full backing of their government..... Their media have heightened anti Nigeria sentiment in Ghana its effect on Nigerians resident in Ghana is glaring.

The attack is deliberate so the retaliation must be very deliberate and hard.
Leave Ghana alone. Go back and develop your country.

My brother, I feel you. These are times we want someone like Abacha. Abacha would have raided Accra or suspended the Ghanaian High Commissioner to Nigeria or shut down their embassies and started compiling the names of Ghanaians for immediate deportation. But alas we have an akamu general in leadership. What a pity.

BRAINLESS COMMENT.

America 'tolerates' a homicide rate of 70,000 per annum.

Does that mean they will sit down and let you harass their citizens in a foreign country? No. So use your brain. It's not there for decoration.

Very brainless, whatever makes them earn likes so far they antagonized government policy.

om the contrary this to me is the best policy. Donald trump denounced Germany for not paying their dues to UN. We never knew this, while America was paying for the world the so-called western countries were busy building their economy Now the policy is ,'America first' look what robust economy they have if not for the virus. If we pay more than other countries, we must get the necessary attention, he who pays the pipper....

Very correct. The one dollar to one naira government won't stand up to the plate when it is needed. It only grows muscle fighting Nigerians.

What are you talking about? The issues with Ghana and Nigerian traders have been ongoing for at least three years and have no nexus with Nigeria closing her border.

Nigeria's border closure escalated the issue.

The truth is that Ghana Government and it's Akan citizens are so st*pid to understand the implication of their action, and their President is buying into this Ashanti's madness because he needed their votes, it will be too late for their government before they will realise what they are doing for themselves
Rossinky:

Excellent response by the FG. I suggest Nigeria temporarily withdraws from ECOWAS, just to get the rest of West Africa to sit straight.

Nigeria contributes nearly 80% of all ECOWAS funds and those funds help with so many things, from regional security to emergency food and health supplies.

The Nigerian GDP is 75% of West Africa's GDP. West Africa has 14 nations that basically depend on Nigeria for their survival.

Nigeria should LEAVE ECOWAS for them, and ask Nigerian businesses in Ghana to return home.

Also, 70,000 Nigerian students are in Ghanaian universities, and they are made to pay in dollars there. This brings in billions of dollars to Ghanaian coffers each year. Nigeria should declare that it will not recognise degrees from Ghanaian universities henceforth, and end that phenomenon.

Let us see how long before Ghana gets their head straight after these measures.

If they continue their madness, the FG should consider sponsoring rebel movements in northern Ghana and neighbouring Burkina Faso to infiltrate and destabilize that country. Their military is ranked 28th in Africa, while Nigeria is 3rd or 4th. Even Burkina Faso is ranked above them militarily.

Ghana have become too proud and arrogant at the peace and relative prosperity they have garnered using the regional security that Nigeria has provided the region over the last 20 years. They must be taught a lesson they will never forget.

Firstly, you have to deal with your terrorist government before thinking about anything. Nigeria is weak and powerless now. The country was highly respected during Abacha's time. Now, everything has gone down the drain.

Nigerias inability to be ruthless and effective in dealing with these irritating cluster of villages that riddle West Africa is one reason they taunt this country.. Nigerias foreign policy thrust needs to be quickly reorganized. This idea of making Africa the center piece is tooooo old school. Nigeria should focus on Nigeria and use her size/diplomatic weight and reach to force the hands of some of these countries.. Look at Cameroon for instance; they brought the French to our borders and many Nigerians were killled and exiled because of bakassi. Today that area is witnessing a self inflicted insurgency. Instead of steadying a colonel at Calabar to supply the insurgents regularly so as to initiate choas and get favourable hands in charge of bakassi as a result, Nigeria is busy arresting the insurgents! Chaotic foreign policy thrust. If it was the isrealis or Iranians, Paul Biya is toast.

In summary, we have empty headed white horses, who do not know the right way to follow. They're counting years of hostility without any countermeasures taken on our side. This is seriously annoying.

Ghana is obviously biting more than they can chew. They have embarrassed, humiliated and insulted Nigeria and Nigerians to an extent that no normal country would accept and what makes it the more ridiculous is that we are talking about a little banana republic here!

What Ghana is doing to Nigeria can be likened to Vietnam trying to humiliate China and we all know how it will go down, China will make them to suffer terrible consequences!

So the question is, why would Nigeria be tolerating all these indignities from Ghana when we have all it takes to bring them to their knees and have them come begging in Aso rock??

For a start, we can immediately stop gas flow to Ghana.

We can place embargo on trade with Ghana, no more imports or exports to them. Including their films and music videos shot there.

We pass a law that will nullify any certificate obtained from Ghana schools going forward, and direct all Nigerians schooling there to transfer back to private universities in Nigeria if the public ones are not good enough or just go elsewhere aside Ghana.

A tit for tat by sacking their embassy and consulate workers in Lagos and Abuja, and seal of the premises under any guise.

A tit for tat by placing more punitive measures against their nationals in Nigeria in the way of harrasments and high levies for papers.

We can rally other West African countries against them, and isolate them. We have the clout to do so.

Encourage Nigerian brands to divest from Ghana and go elsewhere.

Any smart country and leader would do this and bring these guys to their knees which will make others to take lessons.

What Ghana is doing to Nigerians is nothing. Go and see what Botswana
and Zimbabwe is doing to Nigeria. Both of these countries have a population less than 14 million combined together

Nigeria violated ECOWAS rule on free movement of goods when it blocked Goods made in Ghana from entering Nigeria with the pretext of preventing foreign rice from entering nigeria.

Now Ghana is enforcing all it laws

A West African is only allowed 90 days free stay in any ECOWAS country beyond which you must get a residence permit.
Ghana has created a foreigners database for easy identification of foreigners by security services, utility service providers, and banks. The ID must be paid for.

Ghana boasts of one of the most highly skilled armies in the world; those talking about millitary raids should come again. Federal government should simply go and evacuates Nigerians in Gha na now not threats
