Question : Is government in the business of making profit? what is wrong in government borrowing to fund infrastructure development the country in dere need of??... please check the developed country dept portfolio before you attack. The fact is that the nation cannot develop without borrowing... being in dept is the game of the rich....saving is for socialist while dept is for capitalist. 1 Like |

Nigeria is even below Ghana when it comes to external debt. Nigeria based on Wikipedia is currently at No.102 on the list. USA is 001.

AlabiJ:Simple question : are the loans viable or does it generate capital to grow the economy. The Chinese borrowed loans from imf but those loans was put into use not what is going on in Nigeria where politicians sabotaging those loans with nothing to show for it. What did buhari use the recovered looted money to do? E.g We can see the Chinese loans in form of projects as evidence, what was the recovered loot use for. 2 Likes |

Re: Loans: Atiku Moves To Stop Buhari by Saintp(m): 2:51pm On Sep 01, 2020 |
AlabiJ: America is not owing China they way Nigeria is owing China. America did not collect cash from China like Nigeria did. China bought American government bonds and they can sell it at anytime they want. Besides, as at today, other countries like Japan and the UK has overtaken China in holding American govt bonds because China has been gradually offloading US bonds it bought. Besides buying American bond keeps the yuan low against the dollar which is good for Chinese exports so it is a win win So don't use America situation with China to compare Nigeria. One is selling bond to the Chinese while the other is collecting raw cash from the Chinese. This is how you people are deceiving Buhari to drown Nigeria into debt thinking that America is owning China raw cash 4 Likes |

Is so sad that a country that depend almost 100% in crude oil is still collecting numerous loans for children naming ceremonies, I have never seen a wicked and vision less group of people like satanic men that is running Nigeria affair, They are only there to steal, support their evil agenda and fight to put their family and friends in positions so that the can continue to milk, no one cares about the future of the country. Sometimes i feel that God punish Nigeria through bad leadership the nation situation is more than hopeless, the present government don't even have direction were they are going, the country is destroy beyond repair is only God can help Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Saintp: Gerrarahia. China loans are paid directly to the contractor (whom happen to be Chinese),executing the projects they are earmarked for, while Nigeria pays a small fraction as its own counterpart funding. Some of you are so ignorant of facts of the subject matter but politics has messed up your minds. Na una sabi. 1 Like |

Instead u are giving a very watery response. Did d Nigerian govt collect d loan u say it pays to d Chinese contractor from d Chinese contractor? |

lexy2014: Here is what Amaechi the govt. Representative said: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/406420-amaechi-explains-sovereignty-clause-in-500m-chinese-railway-loan.html “I told them at that meeting, that these loans are not given to us, they are paid directly to the contractor. Once we sign that the job has been done, they pay the contractor. And this has never been done before. So what is critical is that the projects are being done. Or, are they trying to rubbish the fact that there is a railway from Abuja-Kaduna? I hope you guys will free me after this. I am allergic to stupid people. 1 Like |

ogwuche4u:US No. 001 while Nigeria No. 102, What's are you insinuating? Please you should also post how many jobs those countries provide daily & weekly, because that is the only way you will understand the different between, COLLECTING LOANS FOR INVESTMENT to provide jobs for the masses, improve economy and standard of living & COLLECTING LOANS FOR CHILD NAMING CEREMONY. 1 Like |
