Very nauseating suggestion. A state like Niger should have nothing to bother about revenue sharing from the central government. With very arable land, multiple water bodies and super richness in solid minerals, what else can a state ask for. Abubakar is another disappointing example of a 'young' governor having been elected at the age of 47 3 Likes |

So that the very large and empty and non contributing states in the IGR of the country would get the larger share of the allocation as against the ones contributing and laying the golden eggs. Monkey dey work bamboo dey chop policy. 5 Likes |

Rubbish. It was a basis for sharing formula in the 2nd republic and that was why they shared large portion of land to themselves. Landmass with nothing to show for it. When some states like Lagos and Rivers generate high revenue to the FG. Many states in the north ban alcohol and betting companies yet they share from the VAT gotten from same products. 4 Likes |

Chiefpress: This is the dumbest idea ever, to come out - of the mouth of any Nigerian, if not the second - with all the land mass they cant think of agriculture, inviting foreigners to invest and make parks, they are looking for allocation, nonsense - while others are driving IGR they are looking for free national cake and hand outs idiots - and if you see the idiot talking he went to school and possibly acquire a BSc - I am sure that time they were the ones going from University to university in a convoy of cars so the really didn't have time to get educated 3 Likes |

Foolish state with no real development, only useless lands left to fallow . How can a state have such enormous land mass with no tangible development ? A state that produced two ex-head of states? What are they trying to achieve? I travelled from mokwa to dikko junction on my way to kano, imagine I spent 7hours in Niger state alone Isn't that ridiculous ? At kotangora, i saw mud houses everywhere in a neighbourhood , the only building made of block is a mosque . Mosques everywhere , schools, houses all made of mud and nothing to write home about . Niger state is just land mass with plenty mosques................ nothing more !!! 6 Likes |

Mtchwwwwwww! Is landmass equal to population size? The USA is probably 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 times bigger than Nigeria but their population isn't even up to twice as much as ours. Lagos as small as it is, has more population than many bigger states combined in this Nigeria. |

Unproductive landmass, just imagine some sets of human reasoning like cow, the more reason states should be allowed to manage their resources. One section of the country parasiting on the other. |

This man is a waste of a governor. A man that interlocks the middle of a dual lane as against the green grasses growing and calls it a project?! He has no sense of governance whatsoever. |

I feel embarrassed about the caliber of so called leaders spread all over our nation who are at the helm of affairs. That a leader can make this dumb request in today's world baffles me. For him not to know that it's all about the revenue generated from the state, which determines the allocation is shameful. |

I see say nobody outside naija dey borrow again. This fowl yansh face wey call himself leader, can't even pass Gov umahi(the best in my book for now) common entrance, Talk less of jamb or advanced studies. Go and learn from borno g, he is also trying. Sanwo is also trying, but he is from naija richest state. So learn from borno before you graduate to umahi. These are leaders doing magic with less. The type that can lead in a 1st world or 10th world like Nigeria. While you are thinking, quit, maybe there's an umahi in your state. |
