Nigerian police officers love arresting people unnecessarily. You’ll be amazed when they start listing your offences.

If you are confident enough and would love to attract police trouble in Nigeria, try these tricks and don’t say I didn’t tell you initially.

Top 5 Things That Will Surely Put You In Police “Wahala” In Nigeria

1. Claiming Right Or Claiming To Know The Law

Try to prove you know the law more than them. Most especially when you tell them you know your rights. When it comes to police, rights take on new meanings.

2. Carrying Laptop In A Backpack Or Just The Backpack

Just know that it’s either you part with a huge sum of money or you lavish in the cell for a night. To Nigerian police officers, you’re an internet fraudster.

3. Walking Or Going Outside At Night

Buying Suya late at night: Your girlfriend craved for suya and you decided to be the good boyfriend. God help you if police officers decide to raid that night, you’re done for.

4. Having Dread Locks, Tattoo, Or Gold Chains, Or Iphone

Once you’re on dreads, you automatically sign for police trouble. To them, dreads means you’re a potential criminal. If you want to add more salt, just tint your dreads to red or green.

5. Using A Benz, Venza, Or Any Sophisticated Car

Make sure you are a young guy and your car is above the 2009 model. To police officers, you are a bag of money. Therefore, it’s very easy for them to milk you.

Funny enough, when armed robbers are operating in an area, they won’t show up until the robbers are gone.

The End!!!

I swear to God who made me. Today was the last time those useless police stopped me along Ajah/Badore road. I was like, what is the problem. They asked me "who I my" and I explained myself with my ID card. They lifted all my car mat to see if there is an strange thing there. Though, they eventually freed me but they wasted my time because I was in haste to see a client. I can't go a week without encounter them in Lekki Ajah axis. I'm just a free man, hustler, no dreadlock, no tattoo.

One guy was narrating his ordeal online that he went out on his birthday, in a bid to mark it, so he was at ogudu. So he just said let him shine small Congo for mouth make him dey alright, as him light the cigarette like this inside his car, na im SARS pass by for korope, na im the guy say, SARS Don see big fish. SARS just pulled over, and started approaching him in his own car o,he just bursted laugh in their front that how much they need, that they caught big fish. So he said today's his birthday, gave them small change to go high too, then they let him go. Some of our officers are no different from criminals who are just after their pockets than security of the people.

OP, please also give us a list of bribes, I mean fines, that will help us get out of trouble.
I wish police will give us receipts, so that if we've paid them something this week, we can show their colleagues who stop us later. grin

Why are you behaving like an adherent of the other religion whose god cannot fight for himself.
Didn't you just call him a fake pastor? Then leave him to God. Why do you want to take up a fight meant for God alone? Once again, my God is not like that other god.
If you really need someone to pick on, I suggest you and all others who have made righteousness 99 their headache to face the grossly irresponsible FG and force them to make life better for the citizens.

that of number 3 recently happened to someone I know (just last weekend)

Reason: he was driving a tinted vehicle that has covered plate number.
And he neglected driving out with the Police escort they usually go along with whenever that very vehicle is on the move.

...that night, strength and appetite to go buy and chop barbeque no con dey he body again after they settled with Police at the station grin

Not always about the car you drive .
So long you are a young guy and alone in the car , chances of been searched are 99%.
If the car is very neat no matter the year of manufacture they will park you.
I always encounter them in Enugu- PH expressway.
Simply don’t show any signs of been in a hurry .
If they find nothing on you, their faces will change.
You will still continue the movement.
In a hurry?
OYO Is your name.

This is very true, once you show signs of haste, they'll be willing to waste to time.

I remember driving from Asaba to Enugu once. They pull me over around Oji river.

Me: Oga Police how today?

Police: We dey fine, wetin dey inside your boot?

Me: Nothing, Make I open am?

Police: Oya come open am.

Me: (Steps down from the car and opens the boot)

Police: (Finds nothing) where your car papers.

Me: (Goes to Pigeon hole) hands over the photocopies of Car papers to him.
Police: (Finds nothing, looking frustrated) Where the Original?

Me: E dey my house, I don't carry my originals around in my car.

Police: We wan see am.

Me: (Changes to proper English), I will produce it when we get to your police station and see your most Senior officer therein. I have to find out since when it became safe and mandatory to carry originals car documents around.

Police: Na grammar you dey speak, take your papers, carry your wahala dey go.

Me: (Enters car and zooms off).
Lol..
