Is that what is needed now?
Is this what is most important?
Government is struggling with stimulating and balancing the economy, yet they want to further close/kill businesses that are generating scarce revenue for the economy.
The only source of joy, enjoyment and happiness to the common, poor masses they want to take it away admist the serious economic and social hardship this country is currently experiencing.

The day revolution will happen in this country, it might be sparked by something so small, something like this that they thing has no consequence but greatly affects the common man.

This country right now is without clear cut direction.
May God help us.
It is also the duty of government to protect lives.

We shall get there gradually. Next is banning alcoholic completely.I know some people will come here and say in their denomination drinking is allowed. But Pmb/Pyo should stand there ground. Let's see who would kick the bucket by not drinking accursed alcohol by whatever name called - beer, gin, vodka, wine, pito, burukutu, ogogro, emu.
God bless our dear native land and decimate her detractors.

It is a problem, no doubt.

However, black market is loading. This will eventually create a smuggling problem for Nigeria.

More folks are about to become unemployed.

A better way is to do documentaries and campaigns that educate the public about safe use of alcohol to be aired during prime times on radio and tv to discourage excessive use. The government can partner regulated alcoholic beverage manufacturers on this.

To think that everyone knows that smokers are liable to die young as announced every time but cigarettes are still not banned- just regulated.

Just saying...

It's not a good policy from the government to be frank. The number of unemployed youths is outrageous eversince the administration of PMB. The alcohol companies employed many youths and create means of living for many with this alcohol which are the marketers, the labour in production of this substance. It's better for the federal government to review it policy about the ban because the number of unemployed youths will increase more than before.
Re: FG Bans Alcohol In Satchets, Polythene by alezzy13: 3:44pm On Sep 13, 2020
To the drunkards and alcohol addicts who cannot but shack every 5 mins, FG is simply saying such behavior is no longer acceptable due to the health hazards.

They never said they are banning alcohol outright. If you must shack, buy the full bottle and put in your house. After a hard days work and you want to relax with a glass or two, that's fine.

What is not acceptable is this 'shack-as-you-go' attitude that is fast gaining ground, no thanks to the proliferation of these sachet drinks.

Drivers, in particular go about with such handy sachets which they down at regular intervals. Not to mention minors.
