Help Me Before I Lose My Sanity. by PhlegB(f): 7:06pm On Sep 13
I need something to take me out of the house, give me small change to take care of my needs. I'm getting tired of my mum telling me that my mates do so and so for their family and my dad keeps telling me that during his days, they don't send women to school and so I should count myself lucky.
The bone of contention here is that I can't go out, I don't have friends and the only one I had who was a classmate," Landlord" as I always refer to my dad barred him from coming to the house.
BTW, I'll be 25 next month. I'm a graduate awaiting service but the pandemic happened.
I have a mini business I run,but when ever I get a call from a potential client and go out, the next minute, my phone start buzzing with calls either from my mum or my dad.
I have lost so many opportunities because either my phone is ringing constantly and I can't turn it off because it's an offence in my house ,I can't put it on silence because I'll have a lot of explanation to do.
I reside in Abuja and in Kubwa to be precise.

Waka dupe...
Wait for ur service year.
People like u think their parents are the worst thing after buhari.

There is time for everything and believe me, u will be grateful to them at some point for helping u stay home now and avoid so many problems u could have run into.

U should consider doing online certs for now that will boost your cv in the nearest future and yes they offer great courses.
How about u channels ur energy into making the man proud who still thinks he wasted money training u. Let him know it isn't a waste and prove him wrong. Not by still disobeying and wanting to go out...
Then u could send ur friend that is banned from coming to the house to step in for u if ur sure that the plenty waka is indeed bringing money.
U can always split the profit with her for now.

I'm also sure there are other stuff u could do that will fetch u the change u talk about without going outside for now.
It isn't permanent o...u will soon be free to Waka as u like

After doing online certs and all, when I need to get toiletries and personal stuff,it will miraculously fall from above right?

On the contrary, I'm an introvert.
"Waka dupe " as you said is not my thing. I don't have a social life and I'm not complaining about it.
All I'm saying is allow me look for something doing that'll take care of my needs. Is that too much to ask?

U pay for the food u eat, water and bill right?
U also paid ur school fees and trained yourself right? I must have missed that out in ur Whinning.
My friend just respect yourself mbok.
U needed advice and it has come...many more u will resent will still come.
Be grateful for the one u have and don't turn ur parents to villains. They deserve to be thanked.
Get ur head straight and stay home for now.
Btw why would any right thinking parent even allow a boy to be coming to visit their daughter in their home when he isn't coming for ur hand in marriage?

OK bye.

I don't seem to understand, do you need a job?
And if it's a job you need a job... Will your parents let you, since you said they bombard you with calls when you go out to run your little business?

Babe just chill, I don't think you're the only one who is going through this.....go to service first bfr u come out to complaint further. I don't think there's any job out there you can engage in for long bfr embark on service. Unless u plan on serving in Abj.

Well, what do I Know

permit me to say that you are lucky to still have your parents, the ones that still care and have concern for you'...
am sure you must have heard this adage, "what an elder can see sitting down, a child even at rooftop would not see". your parents would never want anything bad come your way, they are being careful and protective. you just need to have heart to heart discussion with them, let them tell you the reason they are doing that and you make them see reasons with you why you are making that decision, going away from them at this moment in my opinion is a bad step to take because no matter how strong you are, when life hits you hard out there, chances are there that you might yield in to the temptations of "mini oloshoism"

Ooh Sir/Ma,
I don't even know how to address you, when I need to get "pad",I'll run to them right?
They paid my fees, feed me and pay the bills and I'm grateful for that. I can't be home all day doing nothing and not earning anything.
How difficult is that for you to understand?
BTW, since I'm locked in the house, husband will fall from heaven?

I'm not leaving the house, all I'm asking for is an opportunity to do something even if it's a "sales girl".
I'm done with school and nobody gives me money.
I'm certain that you haven't met an African parent that is a "control freak".
Life will always happen whether I'm shielded or not.

I need a job even if it's a "sales girl" at a supermarket. I know I can't get a proper job without "NYSC discharge certificate " and they're no jobs anywhere even for those with their Masters .

Re: Help Me Before I Lose My Sanity. by OcVoice: 9:28am On Sep 14
If buying of pads and some other personal need is the issue, then tell your parents to give you money for them. They wouldn't hesitate I guess, since they don't want you to go hustle.

Calm down and wait for your service!
I have a niece of the same age and the same condition. She's not complaining. Whilst waiting for her youth service, she gets busy at home with some online courses.

Husband shouldn't be your issue now. When you go for your youth service, make the best out of it and you might get a partner and a job/career from there. Don't be money cautious. See the prospects in the job and the guy!

Easy dear!

Sometimes we need to stand firm and make our decisions. Go out look for job and let your parents 'do their worst' i I know they won't beat you up or kill you if you explain to them that you couldn't pick their calls because you were in an interview. Na you no go gree make them turn you to mumu. With time, your parents will get to understand you. I'm just saying my own o, you don't have to follow my advice.

to this op, I don't know how you'd do it, but when I had these trials, I'd pick the call, tell them we're am at, but would still not come BK till they got tired; this days, nobody gives me hard time, they have to get used to it. nobody will stop it except u

U can lick her ass for all I care... If she gives u good.
If u can't see where her problem is how to meet man and get married then u are one of Nigerians major problem.

She wants to be free like a bird.
Her parents ain't useless, they take care of her needs. Angry that a grown up (man) was stopped from visiting her.

Her parents deserve a medal. This one is a problem child.

This is the last time I'm going to quote you. I don't see where I said I was looking for a husband, hell no that's the least of my problem. I need to have money and afford basic things I need.
It's your problem if you choose not to understand where I'm coming from.
You have problem with comprehension and it's not my fault. I only gave an instance of how things are.

Thank you !!!!!!!

BTW, to that individual saying whatever,I'm certain at my age you were beyond redemption that's why you feel I want to take your path. I'm not like you, I have values and getting a husband as you have been hammering on that particular line is the least of my problems(not everyone sees marriage as a do or die affair)
I'll send you my details to credit my account every month till I go for service so I can take care of my needs.
Thank you and please stop being bitter.

U are indeed a child and now it's obvious why ur parents won't let u have ur way.
U are also too confused and if u don't slow down u will bring everyone around u problem.
Now it's no more how will u buy toiletries nor how will u find a husband if u stay home Abi?

It is too early to have a mental breakdown child.
Stay home for now, u won't die. U still have so many years up ahead and a lot to achieve.
Stop disturbing our peace.

Please do you have a job for me? If yes, send a contact address or leave me alone.
Do you know how embarrassing it is to ask for money for pad, or for undies or bra?
At 25 ,if you think I don't deserve to work and earn money, then you deserve this present government and everything it stands for.

cheesy cheesy

If at 25 a certain parent is still scared their child will get unwanted pregnancy then such a parent has failed in parenthood.

They won't allow her go out.
They won't make the home peaceful for her.

When she's 30 without job, husband,..., they'll still be the one to complain. Even people hustling day and night are still struggling talk more of a certain 25 year old that is still being baby seated.

Ass licker. She won't still open it up to u. Maybe when ur done being on heat and finished masturbating with her photo, u will realize the girl has no problem. Her stay at home isn't a death sentence. Someday when u have kids feel free to train them as u wish.
Don't shift ur anger to some awesome parents out there doing a great job.
