since everyone in the world is restricting nigeria from traveling ,we just have to do the needful and develop our country

Following the recent trend on twitter "EducationIsNotTourism" which is currently trending on twitter. Nigerian students decided to join the movement.

The protest took place on Monday, 14th of September, 2020. In which Nigerian students used the opportunity to express their frustration to the German Consulate Lagos.

It will surprise you to know that the German embassy has not issued visa appointment dates to Nigerian students for 7 months while Ghana, South afica, Benin republic, Ethiopia etc have abundant dates. Enrollment deadlines are fast approaching and its looking extremely bleak for Nigerian students.

They decided to let known their grievances and here are the photos.

Why are they protesting? How much did they pay to the German schools they applied to. Majority of public tertiary institutions in Germany offer free tuition for majority of courses to international students?

If the country doesn't want you to come into their economy and leach on it, why don't you focus on your own country and force your leaders to make the country's education system better?

Bunch of lazy youths angry

The issue here is that Nigeria was included in the list of countries that are banned from entering Europe. This is why visa dates are not available. So protesting at the consulate will have little effect. This is what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be doing.

There is nowhere in the world where any country is built up by itself. It is international cooperation that builds up a country whether we like it or not. Especially in this day and age, development is just simply impossible without international cooperation and access.
