When I read some folks comments antagonising some Nigerians who are protesting to be given opportunity by reopening student visa applicants I was astonished!!!!.....Some of u slowpoke and clueless humans are calling or giving them all sort of crude names because ur eyes are just too blind to see any good things from studying abroad! Some even went ahead to say "when u guys read finish u should come back to Nigeria and join" (this sounds like an enemy of progress thingy) that's why I would say the issue we have in Nigeria is not Nigeria herself but some idiot and senseless humans had brought some level demeanor to us...

You guys should wise up, if u think u are ok or fine in Nigeria it is good but mind that doesn't mean u shouldn't make use of brain and take things from other perspective....

that is why we will remain stagnant ,when we keep waiting for international cooperation , international cooperation abi ?but american shut visa matter for our own very eyes ,are u still saying international cooperation again ,?

bro libya during gadaffi no body help am develop e community or country , forget all these international cooperation ....

if you don't believe in your self who will then believe in you ,,,

make a move that u want development and others too will chip in to assist or invest in your project

Your example of Libya has proven my point perfectly. If to say dem get proper international cooperation, Gaddafi for still dey alive today and Libya for still dey make progress. As dem no get proper international cooperation na, everything don scatter and Libya no fit develop again lai lai. Unless things change for them on the international stage.

we just need to build our own country by our selves , build our own school to standard ,and make it attractive for foreigners to attend, and they pay the fees tru their nose also ,

since everyone in the world is restricting nigeria from traveling ,we just have to do the needful and develop our country

Well said. The sad part is that our country was like that until the early 1980s when the owners of the Fulani Republic of Naijeriya, FRN's quota system and federal character started ruining the geographical area beyond redemption.

comos:
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, on Friday justified the arrest of only suspects of Yoruba extraction over the recent clash in Ile-Ife, Osun State, which resulted in the death of about 46 persons. He said crime neither has tribe nor identity.

Idris spoke with State House correspondents shortly after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari of security situations in parts of the country inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The police had been in the eye of the storm for arresting and parading 20 Yoruba persons, including a monarch, over the clash while not a single Hausa/Fulani person was detained.

The pan-Yoruba group, Afenifere; and the Oodua Peoples Congress are among groups and individuals that have been criticising the police over the development.

Idris however said the police would not hesitate to apply the law once criminal cases are established against individuals, irrespective of their tribe.

He said, “You know we are police officers. Crime has no tribe. If you are a criminal, you are a criminal.

“Crime has no face. We don’t look at crime in the identity of where you are coming from.

“As far as you are a criminal and the police find you wanting, we apply the law.”

He said investigation had revealed that the crisis started with a disagreement between two people selling food along the road.

Although, I agree that a visa is a privilege not right, there is nothing wrong in them protesting after all their Indian counterparts are lobbying Indian lawmakers to press the German government regarding the backlogs of visa appointments. However, what I observed is how Germany became a popular student destination. Ten years ago, this wasn't so.

So why are they not lobbying our own lawmakers, instead of being a nuisance to the German embassy, thereby complicating matters

Nobody is required to grant you access to their own house.

Maybe if you took care of your own home you wouldn't need to run to Europa for 'education'.

The issue here is that Nigeria was included in the list of countries that are banned from entering Europe. This is why visa dates are not available. So protesting at the consulate will have little effect. This is what the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be doing.

Boss, you deserve a barrel of beer for this post.

You are missing the point completely....
This protest, should have been done at the ministry of foreign affairs.

Nigeria is amongst the red listed countries to visit the EU as regards to corona restrictions, and the ministry of foreign affairs has done nothing progressive to challenge that tag, so what do you expect? No matter how people protest at that embassy, it can't change the EUs policy on travel, as they are battling a second wave of Covid 19.

This is a job for the government, but the government is failing on various levels and of course it's affecting the citizens as well on this regard, try to understand, a visa is a privilege not a right.

Tbh no signal or strategy is guaranty, it's just that there are few which can be close enough. Talking about risk management, is micro lot not a good risk reward ratio? The only advise I can listen is "don't go in with 300$" it will affect your risk taking. And don't always watch your market playing, it may affect your initial decision.

those protesters unknowingly gave the embassy clues they they are Nigerians that want to use education as a means of getting to Germany..the real students knows they can't travel now cos of corona.even German and European universities are yet to resume
This is just a sense of entitlement from these students. I am in Germany now studying there are some of my colleagues that travel back to their countries for holiday after the last winter semester exams, are still stuck in their countries.

I see this protest as all shades of wrong and 1m entitlement material.

Someone is refusing you invitation and entry to their.home and you get upset??

Really?

So what if Ghana and.other countries have ample dates

The behaviour of some Nigerians leaves a sore taste in the mouth and you think they would want others to come.

It's here that a lot are hoping, praying and plotting to flee Nigeria with many people cheering them on and you think they do not have the right to do this?

Thank God this is where you guys can say this things you are saying.

Mind you can someone just try and go through the topic from the beginning to the end and ask yourself if you are a foreign diplomat will you allow people that bring down their country come to your country.

Now this people you are talking about are better than anyone when it comes to any crime, have you ever seen a Nigeria to be call international drugLord or crime master mind?
No they are the one you will hear called that.

But see yourself painting your country bad. Its the way you carry yourself people carry you.

Nigerian are always the best when it comes to education in the world and you are here talking bad about people that go there to student and find a greener pasture.

You guys are just pained, maybe you are wake or can't afford the travel expense and life outside Nigeria. Not everybody can be like you sitting in their comfort zone, people are making changes to their life and that of their generation.

If visa is not our right well so as its not other country right, but you will see people like India, Iran, Turkey name it fighting for Visa appointment.

I pity you guys sha.

I actually cannot believe some people are insulting those protesting. It only shows our mental state of backwardness and stagnancy.

What crime is it to move forward? If something doesn't please you, can't you just ignore? Do you really have to speak against those who want to give progress a try?

It's just a pity we are our own enemies. I really don't see Nigeria moving forward if all we can do is speak against those trying to innovate progress. It is well with you guys.

Oga the reason whu we will not follow these people is simple.
1. We are not a people who learn. We do not learn from mistakes, we do not take correction and we do not listen
2. Honestly there is no commitment to anything except to temporary irrelevant pleasures and distractions.
3. Zero sense of patriotism. People dont even know what patriotism is all about sef
