Okay, since the MI 35, six of them were delivered, I noticed that Sambisa forest is still intact. The boko hideout is still intact, terrorist, bandits and their colleagues are still coming out in convoy wrecking havoc and driving majestically back to their well known den.

I guess we bought them for decoration! *Smh*

MI-35 Hind can carry more armaments than the Hind. They're also built to be much more rugged and can carry more people than the hind.

We can't build anything. Very soon, we will even buy air in Nigeria. Hopeless country with hopeless leaders

This is a good gunship, almost as good as an Apache if not for better night vision, better missile and maybe altitude capabilities depending on the crew.

Good job NA.

When they could not fight Boko Haram on ground, they resorted to deceiving us with video game clips of imaginary Boko Haram camps being destroyed from the air. Let them continue with the lies, the deception will not last forever

Shut your dirty mouth and lock up your trashy rants in your grey matter. Mistakes happen all the time including mighty USA, Russian and co. When was the last time IDP camp bombed? If not for the Nigerian military, your state would have been overrun by terrorists by now. Pessimistic idiotas everywhere!

It's taking so long. Tbh, we can build all these things. It may not be perfect in the beginning, but I am very sure we can perfect it in less than 10yrs. We should be investing more on unmanned aerial vehicles. They are more precise, cheaper and no life will be lost if enemies attack them.

It's a good step in the right direction, I'm only sceptical about the publicity. There are certain actions of government that should be considered matters of national security and as such shouldn't be brought to the public domain. Though this government isn't the first to publicise their purchase of military hardware but I think it's time for government to take matters of national security more serious by not publicizing certain info that can be used by the enemies of the state. Well done to the government but I don't think displaying it for public view is necessary

I'm sure Boko Haram just woke up one day and decided to leave local government areas they were controlling before. Boko Haram just woke up one day and stopped bombing mosques, churches, market places and motor parks because they have repented.

SignalNG1:
December 23, 2015
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said on Wednesday that the Nigerian military had met the December deadline to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.

The minister said this during his maiden meeting with editorial heads of media houses in Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that President Mohammadu Buhari had, upon assuming office, issued a December 31 deadline to the military to defeat the Boko Haram terrorists.

“Today, I can report that the war against Boko Haram is largely won.

“I can confidently say this because just recently, I led a group of 33 journalists from both the local and international media to the hot bed of the insurgency, that is, Maiduguri, Kondugua, Kaoure and Bama.

“Today, I can report to you that the entire 70 plus kilometres stretch from Maiduguri to Bama and all the way to Banki which leads to Cameroun and the Central African Republic are in the hands of our gallant troops.”

He said the military presence could be felt ”every few metres along the road; at a point along that road we were just a kilometre to Sambisa forest.

“They have so degraded the capacity of Boko Haram that the terrorists can no longer hold on to any territory just as they can no longer carry out any spectacular attack.”

Mohammed, however, said that though there were still cases of suicide bombings, it was pertinent to note that such was the nature if insurgency globally.

“Unlike a war between two armies, an insurgency never ends with arms victory

“Even in countries like Colombia where insurgency was supposed to have ended decades ago, attacks like this still happen.”

He said that the insurgents had adopted a new style of attacking soft targets like motor parks, schools, entertainment centres, religious centres, killing innocent people mostly women and children.

He, therefore, urged Nigerians to support the military in the fight against terrorism in the country, saying that the military had availed itself creditably.

“It is our turn as civilians to give them our support; to realise that the war they are fighting is not their war alone, but our war, hence we must own the war.”

The minister disclosed that a national security campaign had commenced to raise awareness among Nigerians about the war, the sacrifices of our troops, and how to stamp out the remnant of the war.

“Jingles are being played on national radio and television as part of the campaign in order to keep the media better informed about the war, so that they can also better inform Nigerians,’’ he said.

Mohammed also said that an ad-hoc committee, comprising media representatives as well as intelligence agencies, would be inaugurated to regularly be updated about the war in order to better inform the public. (NAN)

This is not even serious. Don't be fooled by the fire effects, even some kind knockouts dey get effects like that. Nothing about this thing is gallant. Any country with even pickup air defence can stop this unserious thing. This one wey be like say the radar no too see pass eye sight. E no look credible even with all that display.

Imagine somebody buying chuwawa dog to guard an area like the size of a stadium. This one is not even a regular chiwawa, this one has a faulty teeth, so I wonder how it can bite or even bark well. Of course, against empty handed civilians it can shine but not against another country. This is like an outfitted air ambulance or even small cargo.

NA need get working relationship with naija people. It shouldn't be two sides. General growth is what is needed in Naija to create a knowledge based society.
