The only reason Nigeria is still remaining under-developed is the continous suppression of a people greatly endowed by God himself and untill they are allowed to breath and their lives Mather, no head way for naija

Nice one but very wrong analysis.

The law of economics makes it clear that people will always go for same product with lower cost implication.

If we must grow Naira, and keep youths at work and like you said pay to prevent kidnapping, we must boost sales by making our local products more affordable than their imported counterparts.

And my dear unemployment is not a justification to be a criminal.

The law of economics eh? See this https://www.tesla.com/support/incentives
The is the US government (Federal and State) basically subsidizing solar and electric vehicle industry up to 40%, depending on what, and state of residence. Left to the law of economics, the EV and solar industry would not survive because it's way too expensive for Americans to afford.

Also see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agricultural_subsidy
Why do developed countries support local industries with subsidies for agricultural produce when their citizens can just buy it cheaper from China and Latin America? US farmers get over $20 billion in direct subsidies from their government annually; if you add the support for food stamps (which helps America's working class buy the food they could not really afford) of $68 billion (look it up) you can see USA supports its farm industry with at least $90 BILLION a year. And this is a very very rich country.

And why does US subsidize steel? https://www.wsj.com/articles/SB943834458435506838

This is what governments and citizens do all over the world: pay more to support your industry. Telegraph, telephone, postal services, electricity, Silicon Valley, trains, internet, space, satellites... all these were introduced with government intervention, and supported for decades. Like the US, China supports a crap ton of industries with cheap loans, export subsidies (pay no shipping fees to export your product), and cheap (below cost) electricity.

The law of economics does not support socialism (e.g. public schools, medical care for their elderly or unemployed, or pumping billions of taxpayer money into the stock market), yet this is what the US engages in. Then they turn around and tell us not to support our industries because of "the law of economics".

We can lower the cost by having steady electricity, better roads, low interest loans, removing import tariffs on raw materials, encouraging our leather tanners with incentives, cheap animal feed, and lower transportation costs. Also by subsidizing finished goods with a phase out period.
All these come from the tax payer in one way or another - either directly from income tax, reduction in subsidies in other areas, or guarantees for banks to issue low interest loans. If the government is not at the stage to do this, individual tax payers can help by paying more for these goods.

Unemployment is no justification for being a criminal, that is true. But there is a direct causal link between unemployment and crime. Employ people, crime goes down.

Wow, this is amazing!
They look as beautiful as those imported ones they sell 2 million per set in shopping malls.

The federal government should help all these maufacturing clusters in Aba, Nnewi, Kano, Onitsha and Lagos to enhance their capacity then give a date when the alternate imported ones will be banned from Nigeria. That is how countries grow!!

Once the refineries are enough you ban fuel importation!

Cement is banned already.
Rice is banned.
Extend the ban to item that local manufacturers can produce enough alternative and by so doing you save forex, create jobs, and grow your economy.

Help Innoson by not just using its vehicles for all ministries and agencies but also help them in the diplomatic angle by promoting the Innoson brands to other African countries.

This is not rocket science na.

Keep naira stable and strong so that they can import more machinery at a discount.

As we can see, the machines are not Nigerian made.

He was previously the special adviser to the Abia State Governor on new media and he is now the director general of the Abia State Marketing and Quality Management Agency.

The problem will be pricing. It will most likely be double the price of its equivalent from China, Turkey or UAE

Nice one.

If the prices are lower than those imported from Turkey and China then business will boom!
China will always use price to stay afloat whilst greed, lack of marketing expertise and unfriendly government policies won't allow made in Aba products compete favourably.

These are pictures of furniture that was made in Aba. The pictures were shared by Sam Hart, the director general of the Abia State Marketing and Quality Management Agency.

Don't know why Igbo people like these ugly chairs that have all this fake gold edges and stuff. Every time you see the picture of a rich Igbo man's house you see it there.
