EngrHumble: Exactly.. If the roads are fixed and smooth, hardly will cars develop faults....See the Tokunbo vehicles brought in from abroad after 15 years still look clean but few years here even a new car starts to have faults..... Solution is for Government to fix all roads... Instead, the stupid, ignoramuses called political appointees will want to charge you on top everything Secondly, if we had constant power supply, would we need generators? But now overused generators must develop faults na.. Solution is that the government after years of unending promises and further hike in tariffs should fix the energy sector 1 Like |

Now I can see some govt agency are mad in Nigeria I mean really mad. So you will spend the already bankrupt govt cash to be pursuing how to jail faulty cars and generator owners in the court of law? Una dey mad. So judge will just jail a vehicle faulty owner without the owner appeal or fight back and who found the trail logistically? Same failed govt bah Una dey mad. |

Brendaniel: You know what's sad? The simple steps you've outlined, this government can take to solve the problem, and at the same time prepare for the reality of the coming decades. What baffles me is their utter lack of vision. Generators are not the problem... it's that we have to run generators in the first place. 1 Like |

Newboss: Na for book. Wen our transformer spoil, NEPA no gree answer us. After 9 months of darkness, the area contribute money go buy new one. Make NEPA come install, NEPA say we must give them the original receipt before them go install am. Else, na our property but if we give them the receipt, e go be their property and they can install it for us. So bros, wen light spoil, na the masses own, wen the masses resolve am finish, na government own. This na 9ja. |

dalass:Abuja roads that are very good record the highest accident rates in the country - Nigerian drivers are largely undisciplined and RECKLESS - the stretches of road affected by rain is a good thing - now the drivers will be forced to slow down and manage it. |
Re: Aliyu Jauro: Owners Of Faulty Vehicles, Generators To Face Jail Term by dalass(f): 12:39pm On Sep 24, 2020 |
BigBashiru: I wondered why you said Nigerian roads are okay. Now I see you're talking about Abuja which is not even a state. GI outside that Abuja and see what the roads looks like, most times, these roads cause damages not to talk of unnecessary accidents... I doubt we can call most 'roads' Infrastructure in this country is in shambles |
Re: Aliyu Jauro: Owners Of Faulty Vehicles, Generators To Face Jail Term by BigBashiru: 12:45pm On Sep 24, 2020 |
dalass:I dont agree with you. When normal human beings see a bad stretch of road, they slow down and drive according to road conditions - if you know a road has potholes, you will not be doing 120km/hr - 130km/hr on it - the pot hole can damage your car or cause an accident at that speed. so if you know a particular express road you want to travel on has potholes, you should average 80-90km/hr - this speed allows you enough time to react to potholes and bad drivers. the accidents that happen is because people are in a hurry/overspeed to get where they want to go with poor road conditions. in any case one way driving is not permissible under any circumstance. The roads cannot be all perfect all of the time. |
