You have a point.

But then again, splitting isn't necessarily an African thing. Former USSR splitted, North and South Korea splitted. Québec has had multiple referendums to split away from Canada, etc.

Along what lines should a continent as diverse as Africa split? It will only be a matter of years before the new countries start splitting again. Besides, the effects of splitting affects generations unborn cause families might be separated if care is not taken and even with the splitting, y'all would still be neigbours and if there is no peace, it will affect y'all's economy badly. What Africa needs is a government structure that is similar to what we have in Canada. Let each province in a country be as autonomous as possible.

That is the way to go, but do you think these greedy leaders at the helm of affair will allow such structure?? Cause they're the major beneficiaries of this current system

This is FALSE.

I think the government in Ghana is more sensible, so they are likely to employ negotiations

Killing people who want to break away from a country cannot stop them. It can only stop the agitation for a while.

Afterward, another crazy separatist will revive it.

Why IPOB seems to be trading with caution is that there's no love in Nigeria.

The Biafran separatist group is well aware that Buhari is determined to use Nigeria's military might to wreck the South East in retaliation for what former chief of army staff Azubuike Ihejirika purportedly did in the North East

Exactly, autonomous system is the best. This unitary force unity will only make issues like this to continue. African should sit down and plan a better constitution for them selves that meets their peculiar needs.

The whites actually practice this autonomy system more because they understand the ugly effects of forced unity. This forced unity is one of the major reasons africa is extremely backward.

Cultural affliction should be considered as a factor in splitting.

Ghana wey no kukuma big pass warri.....

in other news, this is what Ipob has been dreaming of for decades......but what can I say-"ipob-no-be-togoland"....

Divide Nigeria into 4 and one part should be the land mass of Ghana with 31 million people.

Nigeria is less than one million km2 while Ghana is less than 300 km2.

In conclussion, Ghana those not have land mass issue.
Thanks!
