You definitely know nothing or a little about business, some shops on site where business booms and wholesalers trade sometimes have small spaced shops yet they pay a huge sum for the rent, which is why they prefer sampling some of the goods in their small/main shops then store them in large quantity in the packing stores and warehouses located not very far from their shops.

Go to Lagos, onitsha and abuja and see millionaires running business in small shops then you'll understand how it's done

Are you sure you're a southerner? In my village a man built a standard hospital, two joined hands to built a very mighty catholic church with chapel and father's house well designed and two others tiled major roads in the village and the only thing people tell them is "may you live long" and they're okay with it

Btw which part of south were you even referring to?

Say who? I worked very close to these small shops as a rep. U will b surprised by d rate of der turn-over.

A particular customer who is worth like 300mil 2 years ago told me he started his life from scratch with 5mil donated to him. I don't know wen d donation was made but he is in his early 40s.

People like this end up employing graduates even doctors.
