In 1 billion years time and 15 million presidents Nigerians cannot develop the country. Illiteracy and stupidity have finished Nigeria. Only think Nigerians know how to do vote for a criminal even in developed countries it is the same with Nigerians. Nigerians are last in the world and everything, if you go to UK Nigerian is number 14 Africa in employment, in America Nigerian is number 9 Africa in employment bought a fool themselves day and night that they're the best black.

It's true though. Nigeria can never be developed. Anyone who thinks so is a joker. Things get worse each year. Just two years ago, one could get a derica of rice for 150 today it's 500 naira and might be 1000 by December and it's not as If people's earnings or income increased to match with inflation. Time Is coming the average Nigerian would spend like 98 percent of their income on food.

It is called greed by middle retailers. It starts from the Oga at the top too.

When Dangote promised to flood the market with cement, price fell by 200 naira but if you remember a retailer in Akure, other retailers were going to burn his shop down for not raising his price.

Most retailers would rather lock their shops and hoard the commodity than sell at reasonable price.

Prices for the same products, even those imported from Nigeria, are cheaper in those countries.

Even lace materials and shoes were taken over the border and brought back as made in Europe.

It is called GREED while your fellow men spend more of their incomes on goods, getting poorer and poorer.

Border closure lead to increase in the price of food. That was the most stupid policy ever.

Every and anything lead to increase in prices, not only border closure that was supposed to keep food at home and cheaper.

Rice, petrol subsidies and even incorporation of cassava into flour led to price increases.

When Nigerians that have opportunities in business and as retailers want excessive profit on each product, Nigerian consumers get poorer since they have to spend more. This is how we create poverty.

Since automobiles are made or assembled in Nigeria, prices has been going up giving imports room to compete with local automobiles.

What do they do with all the profit?

Launder it out!

The first is a criminal offence. The second is capitalism. Nothing wrong with people hoarding goods neither should any business wo(man) feel sorry because some people spend a greater proportion of their incomes on food.

Maybe because these companies import the raw materials necessary for automobile assembling? The devaluation of the naira - spending in dollars but generating in naira? High taxes? Electricity?

If you despise what these entrepreneurs are doing regarding inflation of prices, how about you start your business and help reduce prices? wink

That is the beauty of capitalism.

Same old excuses. You forgot the threat of shutting factory down and making workers jobless if CBN do not let you launder money.

Do you know what I do or all of us have to be in the same business of political cronies called business men?

It is your only way to generate value. Learn to respect every dignity of labor.
