I think it’s about time everybody should support Nigeria’s separation. We need to start all over again.

...and God will punish DEAD or ALIVE ... all generations of Nigerian Politicians that benefited themselves and their families at the expense of the citizens of Nigeria.

So angry about Buhari's useless, provoking, uninformed, lifeless and unintelligent speech, how on earth could be comparing Saudi Arabia to Nigeria.
So unthinkable, instead of coming to encourage and plead with us, he added to the insults on our sensibility
D kind of anger brewing in me can not be quantified after listening to dis man in d mornin. It really shows a govt in total disconnect with the people to be comparing Saudi Arabia wt Nigeria, what!.His speech this morning is one enough to cause nat'l conflagration of protests.

Is Saudi Arabia refining her Petroleum products outside her shores? Are the infrastructures working efficiently? Are all d economic sectors working effectively? How does d salary scale look like?wat is d value of their currency to d dollar? Etc
It really shows how these politicians think when they get to that exalted position, shallow!
The development strides in Saudi Arabia can not be imported to Nigeria but the way money can be gotten from its citizens. Rubbish!

Is this the calamity that Nigerians voted into office?

Nigerian politicians are wicked, heartless and senseless. This same man was begging the masses to vote him in 2015, with fake promises. Now that he's the president see the way he's punishing the masses. Truly it's the next level for nigerians.

Here's the change that you all desired for. Enjoy it.

Tinubu brought this catastrophe on Nigerians. That's why I don't pity him whenever the same people deal with him.

MR President, it makes no sense you lieing, you raise fuel from N87/lt to N145/lt to do away with subsidies. You where secretly PAYING subsidies 3 times higher to cronies than GEJ era. It makes no sense YOU comparing us to Saudi Arabia, they have power 24/7, good health care, of which your wife was a beneficiary. It makes no sense for govt to coarse her citizens in a democratic setting. Mr president, what is the cost of living now? How about exchange rates you promise US$1 -N1? What about insecurity? What ABOUT the school feeding programs, what happen to the recovered loots? THE LIST IS ENDLESS. SEARCH YOUR HEART, COME CLEAN. TO UNIFY THE COUNTRY, RESIGNATION WOULD BE AN OPTION .

Truly speaking, I am not against oil subsidy removal, what I'm against is not using the proceeds as it should benefit the ordinary man on the street. where are the jobs, infrastructures and social stability. if all these had been done right before now, nobody would have antagonised the subsidy removal move in the first place.
But the people don't have faith in the system be cause it had done it wrong when it had and will still continue. the focus shouldn't just be on subsidy removal, but should highlight more on the lives of THE ORDINARY NIGERIAN. it disheartening that we will face this reality for the next three years.
Is it that we have incompetent ministers and advisers around the presidency or the presidency is just not ready to listen to them. one of the Ill and incompetent minister I'm very sure of is that one block head that just sits in the ministry of humanitarian and disaster management's office cajoling and deceiving people everyday.

Well, for fun, the man also mentioned some other countries...

Chad has a minimum wage of 49000 naira and chargs 362 naira , Ghana has a minimum wage of 23000 naira, petrol costs 326, Niger 22000 naira, petrol costs 346,Egypt 48000 naira.petrol costs 211

Besides, if we deregulate, we would earn more income, and the minimum wage would rise. To say nothing of more investment

The sad thing is that it took Buhari eight years to see thhe light.(Ah well, politics is a game of hypocrisy)

You mean the ruling cabals? I am still in doubt if the man there is the president I know. This is my opinion.

Any time they want to be clever by half they come up with wicked comparisons like this but they will always shy away from comparing the quality of life in such countries and the strength of the economy with the one they deliberately destroyed.

For God sake why would Mr president be comparing Nigeria with this small countries apart from some what is size of the oil they produce Mr Buhari should not even try to compare Nigeria with Saudi and Egypt at all because their national minimum wage is far higher than Ours

Oga bubu. is it not better if you silently keep ruling nigeria the best way, you think is good for nigeria, instead of this your awkward comparison, as it exposes your low level of thinking as a president.
saudi citizens are being paid higher than nigerians.
saudi citizens enjoy basic services than nigerians. e.t.c.

Oga Buhari did u also made inquiry about how much their minimum wage is?(350 or so). Their standard of living is encouraging which makes them able to buy pump price of petrol at any cost. CLUELESS GOVERNMENT.

Re: Buhari: It Makes No Sense For Oil To Be Cheaper In Nigeria Than Saudi Arabia by chamboy(m): 11:55pm On Oct 01, 2020
Only if Govt can increase minimum wage but ironically an average Nigerian has an Europe-centric standard of living -if they give us 100,000 that money will end up benefiting us/europeans, Chinese and dubia. We need to learn how to make naija money stay locked and circulated in Nigeria.

What is the minimum wage in Saudi compared to Nigeria. How many litre of petrol will the whole salary of a least civil servant buy compared to the Saudi. The average Saudi can afford the price,Our president is a bunch of incompetence and a wicked soul

Nigeria is doomed with idiotic "leaders". I want to be president, yet zero sense.
Re: Buhari: It Makes No Sense For Oil To Be Cheaper In Nigeria Than Saudi Arabia by Eriggs: 9:44pm On Oct 03, 2020

No, it is the truth.

Saudi produces far more oil than Nigeria does, and for a population of 34 million people.Nigeria produces one fifith of the oil Saudi produces, and for a population of 200 million people.

So, Saudi has enough cash to subsidse fuel even at a price lower than that of Nigeria if they wanted. Nigeria? We don't earn the type of income from oil that would gve us the revenue to fund subsidising oil, nd keep prices as low as 87 niara even

The problem is, truth s harsh for us Nigeriians. What Buhari is saying now has been said to us for decades. We refused to listen, and kept on subsidisng fuel and nding p creating a subsidy moonster thrugh whch the rich and poweful looot and loot.

The saad thiing is Buhari did not see this truth in 2012. He joined the bandwagon. And we sacrificed a golden oportunity to save at least 6 trillion naira that could have been used for better stuff on uselss subsidies.

Nigeria has to deregulate. For more investment, more refinereis, and more jobs, and a prosperous econonmy . We cannot afford cheap fuel
Omenka, hope you understand better with this explanation? Stay kool.
