Minimum wage naira equivalent of Saudi Arabia is N305, 000, while that of Nigeria is N30, 000 (which hasn't been implemented in most states).

Now, going by the cost of gasoline in Nigeria, the minimum wage of Saudi Arabia can afford a citizen 1, 906 litres of gasoline.

On the average, one uses 10 litres of gasoline a day in Nigeria (for a civil servant with a car). This means that a Saudi Arabian minimum wage worth of gasoline can take one 190 days or six months before it is exhausted.

On the Nigerian side, the minimum wage can fetch a citizen 187 litres of gasoline. Converting that into its days' worth at 10 litres a day, you get 19 days approximately!!

This right here is how you compare cost and not that flippant statement made by the president up there.

It is a terrible statement to make.

I have worked and lived in Saudi Arabia, this comparison is nonsense from whoever do so.
In Riyadh where I lived, all the roads were like express, traffic lights and street lights all works, electricity doesn't blink, public water supply never fail when you open the your bathroom show or kitchen sinks tap.
The size of their Airport terminals makes our biggest Airport terminals in Abuja and Lagos look like village hurts.

Or was it not here somebody call 4 mass protest and some were saying he is a politician seeking his own interest...

We are a docile people so lets adjust to the ill treatment and stop bitchin about what we have no intention to correct cool

President Buhari, should also let us know the quantity of oil those countries he mentioned their pump prices produces. My reasons is because, the president should also have stated the pump prices of Libya and Angola, cos they are the countries I know in Africa that of same level with Nigeria in terms of quantum production per day. I was surprised PMB, would be making mention of countries like Ghana, Niger and other that just started oil exploration yesterday in comparison with Nigeria that started over over 60yrs ago, what a shame.

Today, Buhari justified his oil price surge by citing Saudi which charges N168 and said “It makes no sense for oil to be cheaper in Nigeria than in Saudi Arabia.”

But he forgot to mention that the minimum wage in Saudi is R3,000 which is N305,126.

Pay N305,126. We’ll pay N168. #Revelationnow#standing against oppression and tyranny.

Ok. So we use global benchmark to decide how much to sell fuel? Why don't we use the same global benchmark for;
1. Security
2. Food!!!!
3. Social Security
4. Education
5. Quality of life
6. Ease of doing business
7. Healthcare
8. Etc?

Dear President it seems not fit to compare the oil prices of countries that have stable ,efficient and progressive society and infrastructures.

In Nigeria there are lack of almost basic infrastructures. There's no power /energy to power our industries, homes and offices.
There's no functional Schools, Hospitals are zero to nothing, Transportation is zero, security is dead. Nothing could be said about our country besides negative things, our politicians are morally constipated morons. They only care about looting and sharing our commonwealth.
As the word of God says " The produce of the land is for all"

I can't believe that you are comparing nations like Saudi Arabia and Nigeria. This is a disgusting comparison with degradable imagination.

But it makes sense for the salaries of Nigerian workers to be lower than that of Saudi workers? Actually this government should be careful the way they mention the word "sense". It's a taboo to them from what they've shown with the way they've been ruining (sorry, I mean running) this country.

This shows we have insensitive people leading us. Is Mr Buhari and his advisors not aware that in Saudi Arabia, they have free education, free medical health services for their citizens? Is he not aware that they have 24/7 power supply that the citizens don't buy fuel to generate power for their home use? Is he aware that they have standard quality roads? Is he aware that no foreigner takes the job a citizen can do? Is Saudi Arabia economy same as Nigeria?

Those countries build their grid over a long period of time, they don't do ipob logic that praises looting and defends the shameless privitization of NEPA to the abhorrent reprehensible discos, whose agreement see Nigeria paying private companies bailout for not selling power at the price they choose.
