Prophet Muhammad (SAW), shivering and sweating concurrently, scampered in and made straight for the bed. He hid under the duvet and his blessed wife Khadijah (RA) coverer him with more clothes.

"O ye enveloped in garments, arise and warn! And magnify your Lord (Q74:1-3)" was what he heard again.

Just before then the Prophet, while in his usual retreat where he contemplates Creation and praises God before his prophethood, had been invaded by a supernatural being who had ordered him to read (Q96:1-5), though unseen, the Signs of God. He, needless to say, was awed to the bones. Now that he had escaped home matters had gone worse as his ominous commander had visited again.

Bit the wise, pure and matured Khadijat had learnt some things about the supernatural from a Jew uncle of hers. She knew she must briskly investigate and demystify the situation towards saving her husband.

Lady Khadijat promptly removed her scarf, uncovering a mass of shiny, fluffy hair. Hurray! The prophet-to-be got instant relief as the invader fled. Khadijat thereafter covered the head again and the invisible intruder returned... She now confidently gave nerve to her troubled, loving husband: "man up and listen, you've only got an angelic visitation ushering you to Prophethood!"

What this blessed woman had done was a litmus test for angelic/demonic invasion.

The Angel of God had run away at the sight of a woman's hair. He made a return after the woman covered up. The reverse is the case for a demon... A demon feeds on women's nudity but flees the presence of Godfearing, properly dressed Islamic women.

Obey Allah for your own good; disobey Him at your own peril.

THIS IS ONE OF THE NUMEROUS REASONS FOR ISLAMIC HIJAB.
