About upgrading the site, don't stress yourself... ❣️The owners A days in programming is over and he's too stingy to employ the service of programmer to upgrade his site and lastly he doesn't listen.❣️ Members opinion don't count to him.

It seems like speed was one of the important criteria put into consideration during the creation of Nairaland. If you open Nairaland on a web page, it loads quick compared to most social media like Facebook, Twitter etc.

Adding some of these features might add more workload to the server and result in slower load time, which might go against the owner's (Seun) idea.

But a verified account would be a great idea because it would reduce the degree of scammers who use this site to scam many unsuspecting victims. Those who use their accounts for legit businesses and post relevant information would be verified, any account which has been used to perpetrate scam of any kind would have a warning flag on the account to signify that a lot of Nairalanders have complained about the account, while others will be unverified.

This will make it easy to fish out the bad eggs in this great platform.
