The Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has declared state of Emergency in the area after the visit of the state police commissioner.

The violence between SARS operatives and Residence have intensified over The last few days as different communities in the area have condem the illegal arrest of Car washers, shoe menders, hawker, bus conductors within the area.

The residence including different ethnic groups have complained about the mode of operation of the SARS operatives in the area as it was learnt that the operatives harass residence and extort from Those returning from farms and as well as business men in the area, the area is populated mostly by shop owners, farmers and traders (market women and hawkers).

The presence of the operatives have increased the level of kidnapping, armed robbery and killings in the area yet know effort have been made to put the crime rate at minimal but continued in mass arrest with no results leading to residence leaving the area.

The violence intensifies when the operatives started house to house violence arrest of residence leading to the youth violence resistance towards their approach which led to the killing of a sars operative.

The residence appeal to the Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to intervene in this issue as the presence of the SARS operatives are no longer welcomed in the area.
