Edo State government should pay them their rightful entitlements, it is quite pathetic that they are still being owed up to 13months salaries up till now, we should not be constantly playing politics with the life of people. We know there are already plans by the federal government to transit college of education, ekiadolor into a federal college of education, no one is saying they shouldn't do that. modalities should be put in place by Edo State government to settle the workers by paying them, and for them to know if or not they the existing workers will be absorbed into the new federal college of education as proposed by the federal government when it fully kicks off its operations.

Depression is real folks. Lots of Nigerians are depressed but too ashamed to admit it for fear of being called weak.

If you notice a sullen mood change in a family member or friend don't avoid them, they might be passing through depression.

Ogaami, it's really hard not to. You feel choked. You can't breathe. It's like hitting a deadend.
Life will just seem meaningless.
Death at this point in time will just look like a safe heaven. You'll constantly be asking God for forgiveness and understanding should you finally succumb, while reminding him that you had no other option.
You also keep praying for his assistance which at that point in time might not be forthcoming.
I've been there and it's truly not a good experience.

That school is owned by Edo state and not the FG. I don't expect you to know since you're a local Benin illiterate tout.

I think this should be a lesson to his colleagues and others who are depending solely on salary, if a principal lecturer in colleges of education cannot attend to his health issue and then commit suicide because of lack of money then what should the junior staff do?
Support any work you're doing with any business no matter how small, it will go a long way to help in the long run...

“Of course, everybody knows that the Edo state government owes us 13 months of salary which we have continued to agitate for even before the election but it was tagged “political agitation” the man couldn’t provide for himself. His wife just had a baby. We were surprised yesterday (Friday) that he took his own life.

Before he committed suicide he spoke to some colleagues on Wednesday complaining bitterly about his inability to access medical facility and becoming very ashamed of begging friends for money to treat himsel

This issue should have come before the election. Then, why was Obaseki voted for overwhelmingly if lecturers were owned for many months. I am very sure lecturers from this school voted for him too. Obaseki will now pay to his dead body in the grave. Nigerians, the politicians are not our Friends just like the Police are not. They are just using the poor masses, why I say the poor masses is because the rich and their children does not come out to vote and they are ones they give jobs and contracts to. The poor should be wise.
