Contradictions In The Nairaland Redpill Ideology. by ePoster: 1:09pm On Oct 06, 2020 |
When asked to state their opinion on the topic of gender equality and why to most men, feminism is a futile endeavour, their response would be that, 'As men, they merit recognition and respect for their roles as the head of the family'. You pay the bills, you deserve to be placed on an almighty pedestral. Yet, when these men come across financially independent women, they shame them. Most likely, out of insecurity and fear that they have outlived their purpose in the lives of females. No matter how many times, they call out financially dependent women, there's still that underlying pride these men feel being re_assured of their importance. My point is, why do men who measure their significance on the scale of 'how dependent is your woman on you?', get upset when asked to take up the financial responsibilities of their partner? As a man, your self worth and purpose should not be equivalent to what you can provide. Money shouldn't be the only thing to bring into the relationship. |

Most women are earning! When asked what you have to offer, be able to add other things to your resume... If not, you would be left in the cold, bitter dark. Another irrelevant person in the live of a working class woman. |
