Meanwhile we keep delivering trips of sand and chippings to this site for the concrete cast of this floor.

We brought a mechanised ramming equipment to site to ram the earth for more compaction after our foundation wetting has dried.......

Preparing the ground for a good cast....... and starting the concrete cast of the DPC.......

We are still working here, casting of the concrete floor, and starting block setting from the side we cast on Tuesday...........

building in this period of block @200naira and cement at 3k+ is quite expensive. But I know oga Spyder always by in bulk and at the start of the project to avoid hiccups.

Building is a frightening venture now, I bought a lot of materials for this house when it was cheap, but by the time we get to the decking level, the materials will be exhausted. I wonder what happens next.

Frightening is an understatement....the increase is not abating anytime soon and with the forcast Nigeria is now in recession.

We increased the pace of our block setting in this site........

oga na to buy more na, with the present state of Nigeria ... recession is not far fetched. Who will build..will build in Nigeria anything that goes up hardly ever comes down.

It's really tough. People like us who give quotations and start work are experiencing the most uncertainty. We can't plan ahead in this country. Inflation is a big problem here.

Sorry but I forgot, the well has been so erratic, we dug up to 38 feet into the ground and there was no promise of good water flow, so I told the diggers to go home, and started to buy water in tankers.
But recently, one of my workers noticed that there is some water in the well last week, so we fetch from the well when we are low on tank water. But the flow is limited to just a few buckets at a time. We are just managing the well.

We are still wetting the foundation of the third flat, due to the very high foundation, we are taking extra precautions to compact the soil so it can settle firmly..........

But for the other 2 flats, we are moving on speedily with lintels carpentry, concrete cast and even topping of the blocks........
