That is why ASUU should be scrapped altogether ...it's a useless self seeking body with no benefits whatsoever to students.....

Infact ASUU members should be probed and arrested for assaulting the future of Nigeria's educational system

bros you harsh! grin but seriously, government cannot be absolved of blames. why can't government address the issues being tabled by ASUU concerning this IPPIS thing? my worry is that even if ASUU is forced to suspend their strike now, what of NASU and SSANU that have just begun their own strike based on the SAME IPPIS thing? IMHO, it shows that something isn't exactly right about the way IPPIS is being operated even though the whole concept of the IPPIS thing is highly commendable.

Lol ASUU's main issue with IPPIS is that the government will know the exact number of lecturers to pay...that way lectures can't run multiple lecturing jobs with government institutions....because Government is the one handling their payments and therefore regulate this fruad among civil servants...

ASUU'S stubborness is because they believe we the students...have everything to lose if FG doesn't bend to their will...they rely on our cries to force FG to withdraw the IPPIS....ASSU are under the FG and therefore should not be dictating to the government about how they want to pay their workers..

It's because they know we will cry for resumption that is what is giving them mind joor....not because they care about education....very soon they will call of the strike because it looks like Buhari is ready to go toe to toe with them

So long you are a student there's no way you can escape ASUU strike.

Even if the government fulfill all their promises they'll still demand for more.

It's an annual ritual. Just graduate and leave the system.

government cannot continue to play politics with the future of the youths. Today they will agree on something, tomorrow they claim they never did. If ASUU should succumb to ippis, public universities in Nigeria may just end up like public primary and secondary schools in the country.

See the federal government will soon call schools to resume so as to destroy the protest.

Once schools resume, protest is over.
