Ariaria Market IPP 3.5 mw Electrification Plant Bringing 24/7 Power to 4,000 shops.

Buhari inaugurates Ariaria market power project

President Muhammadu Buhari said Tuesday that reliable power supply was critical to promoting ease of doing business to ensure sustainable and improved Nigerian economy.

Mr Buhari spoke while commissioning the Ariaria Market Independent Power project in Aba.

He said the provision of a dedicated power supply to small businesses in the area would strengthen the “Made in Nigeria” programme of the Federal Government of which Abia had become synonymous with.

Mr Buhari said the present administration was committed to evolving sound economic policies and programmes aimed at boosting national productivity.

He said the project was a demonstration of the Federal Government’s resolve to protect the interest of every Nigerian irrespective of party difference and constitutional limitations.

Mr Buhari said he had been informed that Ariaria International market contained 37,000 shops which would benefit from the project, adding that 4,000 shops had been connected to new power supply.

“Electricity has no political colour and I was elected to office on the convincing argument my party made about our commitment to security, developing the economy and fighting corruption.

“I am told that in the past traders in this market only got power supply for four hours a day and paid exorbitantly for it, which consequently affected the viability of many businesses.

Mr Buhari said that the Federal Government was replicating the power project in Abia in Kano, Lagos and Ibadan.

FG awards over N5bn irrigation projects in southeast

The Federal Government has awarded a contract for the construction of concrete lining on a 40 kilometer irrigation canal along the Lower Anambra Irrigation Project, in Anambra state.

It also approved 22.45km concrete lining of primary and secondary irrigation canal in Adani, Uzouwani Local Government Area of Enugu state.

Handing over the projects to the construction company, Zonal Project Cordinator, Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Programme Phase1, South East Zone, Mr Romanus Egba said the 2 projects, with one year completion timeline would enhance rice cultivation in the region.

The N3.9billion project within Omor and Umumbo communities would guarante all year round rice farming, he said.

In Enugu state, the project is worth over N2 billion.

The Enugu State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr Mathew Idu while commending the government for the step taken to revitalise the Adani rice farm settlement, expressed the hope that there would be food security in the area when the work was completed .

His Anambra State counterpart, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Stephanie Keri- Uzor said the 3850 hectares of land within Omor and Umumbo will no doubt become a beehive of rice activities after the resuscitation plan.

President Mohammadu Buhari, you are doing wonders... May God reward you for all the good things you are doing...

limeta:
Taqiyya projects. So what now. Allow ruga or cattle route. Give fulani our land or die. Become a slave to Buhari and his fulani tribe just like the hausas. Buhari only project is kill.

My sister, hatred is not the solution, whatever the grievance may be... Let us embrace love.. Let us embrace tolerance, forgiveness and humility.. Let us embrace kindness, my lovely sister... When we focus on our weaknesses instead of our strengths, we will not progress as a nation... When we search for a wrong amidst a thousand rights, we'll never grow as a nation... But when we pour out positive emotions... And let them flow.. Flow like the ocean... Nigeria will become the envy of the world... And the center of attention...

To this end, I appeal to you, my sister, to join hands with other well-meaning Nigerians to move this country forward..

God bless you.
God bless Nigeria..
God bless us all...

Exactly! These people are smarter than we thought.
Now that a protest is ongoing, we have started hearing stories like
FG's project in South East.
Northerners now agree to restructure.. Etc
Clearly their major fear is for #endsars not to metamorphose into #outright revolution or even #end Nigeria.. Hence they swing into full gear of this their Taqqiya...winds of destiny is blowing all over Nigeria, no one can stop it..if the time is up its up.

One day, the North will beg the South for restructure, but it would have been too late.

Very apt that the OP, who btw has a well earned reputation here for wrechlessly depositing inventive pro-government propaganda, sited a GRAVE as an example of the federal governments workaholic credentials in the East. A grave!!! Only in the East! That Ziks graveyard is most probably the only Fashola completed project is eastern nigeria after 6 solid years as the works minister! Tomorrow, with his typical mischievous skull, he will be angling to become the president and when the East says no, folks will term it tribalism.. They do nothing in the East, all they shout from morning till night is "Second Niger bridge"', just to divert attention..

Fashola deliberately visits the east every now and then to take pictures at the second Niger bridge so as to make it look like he is working. He is seen in pictures commissioning roads and housing estates elsewhere and only seen pointing at imaginary objects at Onitsha head bridge. He awards contracts for hundreds of kilometers of roads elsewhere, but will devide eastern roads into stages before awarding, thereby spending more time and resources on one road in the east than elsewhere. Fasholas 6 years incharge of the works ministry in a period where other regions have seen significant facelift shows why it's ethically wrong to make a tribalist a minister!
For those who don't know, at the moment, the works ministry appropriates bugeted funds for the ministry from the finance ministry in bulk, then whimsically decides on which projects to do first. This was unlike before, when budgeted funds are tied to specific projects. Fashola started this. What does this mean? They can tell you they budgeted 1 trillion fr enugu to onitsha expressway, but once the budget is passed, released funds can be used for "far more urgent projects" in say maiduguri! Everything from the moment the budget was passed depends on Fashola and Buhari! Inventive tribalism! That is what Fashola stands for.. Noticed that Eastern governors these days bypass him while relating with the feds on eastern projects?

University solar systems which an average business man can provide and a tomb in the east, then billion dollar gas pipeline and rail tracks in Niger republic. Evidently, Buhari as at this moment, is doing more heavily-costilier projects, more economically benefitial projects, more generationally uplifting projects in Niger republic than in eastern nigeria from whenc the funds that pays for those projects will come from! That is no more tribalism, that is something worse that apartheid! Notice the second Niger bridge computer rendition as posted by the op has train tracks? The federal government killed the idea of biulding in a rail track on the second Niger bridge because according to them, there was no money! But we have enough to biuld even more for buharis brothers in zinda and marada... And you wonder why the country is moving in circles.

It should also be added that the Ariaria electrification project was not a Buhari project, he only came to launch it after being criticised for never visiting the SE during his first term

The second Niger Bridge is not really a SE project neither is it a Buhari project. The bridge has one end in the SS and the other end is in the SE.
