Shuting down the internet will be useless and will trigger a big protest like #Bringback our internet. International players will fully come in.
Shuting down the internet will trigger the following.
1. Critical Economic Impact: Revenue of Internet Services providers would be at risk.

2. The Country's Banking sector will feel the impact as most transactions is done online as the pandemic progresses.

3. Shutting down the internet would be mutually restrictive and will make youth more restive.

4. Shutting down the internet does not mean the protest would stop, it just means that Nigerians in diaspora would be updating us on protest and venues via phone calls.

5. Shutting down the internet would mean that even Government bodies would also suffer.

Basically, the government idea of shutting down the internet is just like a sinking man clinging to a straw, it is a dumb move but who would blame them, it is just their limitations, if young people took part in the government in the first place they could have been briefed on how dumb that move is, even North Korea did not shut down the entire internet, unless they mean shutdown social networks at which way, we will bypass it with VPN
Buttom line, shutting down the internet is a dumb move

If the government have a problem with thus protest. I’m pretty sure that shutting down the internet won’t fix it.

Those protesting are not up to 0.1% of Nigerian population.

Shutting down the internet would be the last straw

They had better let the sleeping dog lie.

Can't someone tell them that attempting that would make the Youth to head straight to Aso Rock and Nigeria may not survive it and still remain the same

Grammar speaker.

They will shut it down and nothing will happen.

The same thing happened in Sudan and Chad a while back, to quell public unrest, and after everywhere quietened down, they reopened their internet. Heavens did not fall.

The govt has ended SARS as requested. Everybody go home and stop disturbing people.

They will shut it down and nothing will happen?

Is Nigeria chad or Sudan? shocked

Have you been directly or indirectly affected by the problem?

Have they truly ended sars or it's the usual gist we have being hearing?

With all due respect sir, this one you dey pander to these things sef. Are you sure you are not profiteering from the issues going on? grin grin grin

If the implementation process for curbing this problem is not effected on time, is still remains the same old gist as usual oo... Take note.
