Angry mob beheaded and set five suspected
armed robbers ablaze on Saturday in Akwa Ikot
Effanga community, Akwabuyo Local
Government Area of Cross River State.

It was gathered that a 7-man gang allegedly
broke into a shop at about 3am on Saturday,
October 17, and made away with electronic
gatgets worth thousands of naira
and undisclosed amount of money.

The youths of the community laid ambush for
the suspects. In the process, five of them
were apprehended them while two managed to
escape leaving the rest to face jungle justice.

A very disturbing and gory video from the
scene shows the remains of the suspected
robbers and a motorcycle in flames. The head
of one of the suspects was missing from his
neck.

Meanwhile, one of the youths condemned the
act, describing it as inhumane and barbaric
while calling on the Nigerian police to
immedately arrest the perpetrators.

We are yet to be done with #EndSARS and now this

I have come to realise that our institutions including Police, Army, SARS, nnpc, cbn, for etc are not the problem

But the problem lies on Nigerians who are employed to work under these structures

Nigerians have been found to abuse all existing institutions from presidency, Senate, reps, governor, chairman, counsellor, civil service e, churches, mosques, trade unions schools

Which means to say that even if a these structures are scrapped and other ones put up provided it is still Nigerians that will be employed there, then abuse is inevitable

Imagine citizen carrying out jungle justice what now will be expected if these elements find themselves in SARS, police and all

Akwa Ibom and jungle justice...

E be like say robbers dey do dem shege for there... I would have suggested they hand them over to the police authorities instead of this barbaric act of burning a fellow human being and even standing to watch. but police na another nightmare.

We have to to improve our personal outlook and orientations, because we constitute the country, the Leaders come from us.
When we start to improve our thinking on an individual scale, it could eventually influence governance.

Maybe they saw them as dogs that traditionally they would cook and eat.

That's one reason area boys and thugs go out with knives and matchetes to counter #Endsars. Now that they have succeeded in chasing Sars out, who will save them when robbers attack thrm in numbers?

We must say no to this constant act of barbarism by Africans.
