This October is breast cancer awareness month and this was set up as part of efforts to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of breast cancer through education or symptoms and treatment.
Ghanaian actress Safina Haroun in a video she posted on her Instagram page gave her fans tips on how to protect their breast from breast cancer.

According to the actress in the video, there should be a regular check on the breast to make sure is in the right shape.

“…In case of any change in the size or shape of the breast, pain in any area of the breast, nipple discharge other than breast milk, a new lump in the breast or underarm see your doctor right away,” she said.

Safina added that one can lower the risk of getting breast cancer by keeping a healthy weight and exercise regularly.

She added that to avoid breast cancer, “limit the amount of alcohol you drink and massage your breast regularly.”
