The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has said directed the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission to finalise new salary structure for members of the Nigeria Police Force. Buhari made this known in a live broadcast on Thursday evening. Better welfare package for police officers is one of the five-point demands of #EndSARS protesters in the country. Addressing Nigerians on Thursday, the President said, “With regard to the welfare of police personnel, the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission has been directed to expedite action on the finalization of the new salary structure of members of the Nigeria Police Force. The emoluments of other paramilitary services are also being reviewed upwards.” I urge all the youth to object to this. We are agitating for better Nigeria and police welfare and they are killing us for giving them a better living. From our dead brothers, they have a new salary. I urge all the youths to reject this. Asking as the police is untrained and don't obey human right, still killing us for giving them a better living, their salaries should not be increased.. It is so unfortunate. 2 Likes |

AdaugoChisom:he must be among the North. Leave them. Mtcheew They are so many ways to take care of this thugs without killing anyone. No matter what, no property is worth more than life.. tear gases can be used to disperse people. No one can stay where there is a tear gas.. officers can use Cain's, koboko, best and arrest this thugs or protesters instead of shooting. They are opportunistic youth..don't blame them, they recently discovered that their palliatives are being stored. |
