ivolt: Do you know what you are saying? Can you kindly check the internet for Democrats(i.e the ruling party) candidate during the last World Bank presidential election? I think that will go a long way to help you understand the post you quoted. I believe Trump will still gv her a nod, that is why the election is moved to after US general election. Everyone knows that US election is of more importance to Trump than WTO election. |

I partially agree with your point because I'm a Trump lover but at this point i have cause to doubt my trust for him. If you say his appointment is based on merit, why did he opposed Mr Akinwunmi Adesina of AFDB despite having an outstanding performance? now it's NOI, democracy confers power on candidate with the highest vote, she has clearly explained herself that she's a trade expert, what else does he wants from her? There's always room for impeachment if she doesn't do her job well. It's now appearing to be petty. He should hands off. Johnnyessence: |

Johnnyessence: "Trump loves the world" hahaha you must be on some good stuff. - so he dropped out of Paris climate change accord because he loves the carbon energy industry more - tried to impose American second-hand clothing on Rwanda instead of allowing them to develop their own garment industries - Tried to block the re-election of Adesina over at the AfDB - the percentage of blacks dying from covid is higher than any other racial group - in the second quarter of this year the US economy shrunk by 32% I don't know where you Trump lovers get this stuff. Here is a man who inherited all his money, declared bankruptcy several times to avoid paying his tax and currently pays less tax than a US truck driver! He is personally responsible for loans and other debts totaling $421 million, with most of it coming due within four years" and no obvious way to repay them. Oh and just in case you are thinking he is on your side against Islamic militants - He is the man who knew that Russia was paying bounties to the Taleban to kill American troops in Afghanistan and did not only do nothing but became the personal poodle to the Putin. Trump is for Trump and you are on your own fella 3 Likes |

Oracleforce: In your first paragraph, you just jump into conclusion and contradicting yourself. But your last paragraph, the bolded which is the reason why I am responding to you is but an emotional outburst and blind cover that doesn't allow you see the TRUE REASON why Trump doesn't want NOI. The issue here got nothing to do with racism but ECONOMIC SUPERIORITY Quit watching CNN and all other media outlets that focus on race sensationalism and honestly you will see that it's helps you to see issues for what the truly are. |

Like Nigeria can counter even Burkina Faso's position on WTO talkmore of a global dominant super power like the USA? NOI hope is that trump will lose on Nov. 3rd before the vote of Nov 9th. Else, even with EU backing, USA is a global economic hegemony. |

Ngozi Iweala is pushing to become WTO chair person because she is an American citizen. According to recent reports, she claimed US citizenship upon hearing that WTO job would soon become vacant. That to me disqualified her for any consideration. Chair person of WTO is a person who has years of experience in trade issues. Ngozi Iweala has none experience in trade issues. So, I write to call on Ngozi Iweala to immediately remove her name from consideration on WTO job. Save yourself and the world another global embarrassment. God have mercy on this ugly and shameless woman. |

ZooOga: Don't be surprised, you may not even find anything about WTO's DG on their websites. The Korean woman was never involved in all these EU and intercontinental lobbying. The Social Media propaganda is never their character. Korean by nature and most of the countries in East Asia are very reserved and reticent and not given to propaganda. They are people of few words. Their work speak for them. Good thinking, good product. US forced words out of China. They don't make noise. |

Johnnyessence: Guy, are you leaving in a man cave? Trump appoint by merit? The same guy that appointed 21 Judges into lifetime seats having an ABA ratings of NOT QUALIFIED! Some of them, have not even trial a single case in their entire life, their only experience is been picked by the Federalist Society, a conservative group that vets his nominees. Trump & the GOP have bitter against WTO, since the WTO Appellant court ruled against the US that their sanctions against China were illegal...Just like Trump left the Paris Accord, WHO, Iran Deal and many host of other international organizations, they are planning to leave WHO....and he has been blocking the appointment of Judges to WHO, therefore hindering progress of trade cases in that court...blocking NOI is another off-shoot of that fight. This time around WHO member States are standing tall, because they have seen the negative effect of Trump blockage on Judges is doing....Getting a consensus candidate was how they have been doing things before now and they are willing to stand by NOI and are even taking of forcing a final vote, which Trump cannot do anything about.....Even the countries that did not vote for NOI were in against the US opposing her as the consensus candidate after getting the highest votes. Your other rhetoric are laughable and does not deserve a response. |
