I believe in moderate dressing.
I believe the school should regulate to an extent yet they should allow for some freedom.
Because the school society is a learning society.
Caging people will allow for dogmatism.
I would say the school should put a dress code for attending lectures and encourage the students as a whole on the benefits of moderate dressing letting them know you are addressed by how you dress.
However student should be at liberty for social gathering, sports etc.
It's important that the school emphasize that student who have issues and want to approach any lecture/or academic matters should dress in line with the dress code.

A good development, if you don't like the dress code then don't apply to the school. The dress code is for both staffs n students of the school. Where there is no law there is no crime

This is a nice one. In fact other universities should follow quickly. A bill should be sent to the National Assembly to legalize dress code in Nigeria Universities. I think this proactive measure is more urgent than the reactive, over hyped, sentimental and uncritical "sexual harassment bill in our universities" As if politicians do not involve in sexual harassment. That hypocritical, attention seeking bill seem to suggest that sexual immorality is only domiciled in our Higher institutions and perpetrated by the male lecturers even harlots and prostitutes in the campuses are seen as victims and not culprits. The bill makes it look like sexual harassment doesn't happen anymore in our homes, the banking sector and other public institutions even when it is an open secret that in Nigeria jobs are paid for either in kind or cash and sometimes even both

In this present dark world, we promote and reward indecent dressing, soft porn such as bbnaija and yet cry wolf about sexual harassment and rape. Oftentimes we badly mistake effects as causes.

Sexual harassment bill in Tertiary Institutions and dress code bill should be seen as complementary and welcome developments

yes it does, because students especially the females dress immorally(dress and expose their major parts) to please the lecturers instead of going to study. So it is gud that they have stopped it n im in support
any lecturer that flirts and womanizes doesn't need any indecent dressing to flirt around. Immorality is a character ,and doesn't need any trigger, it is a culture for those living in such. In Islamic schools we still see paedophiles and promiscuous teacher doing same

In Islam, both men and women are required to dress modestly . However, Muslim women have special clothes which they sometimes choose to wear in order to protect their modesty. Many Muslim women wear a hijab or veil to protect their modesty. Not all Muslim women choose to do this.

If you go to that school in the evening, you will think you are in club or brothel, the level of indecent dressing is high there, so I am in support of the move.
