You’re wrong. We have local government autonomy, which means they can carry out significant development in there areas but they are not effective these days because their election is now a means of compensation of there impact in the election that brought in the sitting governor. Let take Ogun state as a case study our local government election is due since last year November almost a year we are still in caretaker. |

I served in Ota and boy, I didn't experience a motorable road of Nigerian standard. However, the hilarious aspect is that roads in Abeokuta are better than Ota's even though the latter is the economic centre of the state. Residents of Ogun who hope the authorities will do something about the horrible roads should stop being hopeless. Your politicians hide/hoard Indomie, na roads you want them to construct for you? Keep supporting these cretinous fvcktards called politicians, na una go suffer am. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ogun State government don't give a damn about Sango and it's environs. It's as if the government don't generate revenue from that area. For those that know that area very well, Bible College road was constructed by Ambode but little portion that isnot even up to 100m can not be fixed by Ogun State government. The bible college road is very important route the make journey from Toll gate to Agege, Able egba, agbado etc very easy. |

Ado odo ota and Ifo LGA are the most marginalized council areas in Ogun state despite their economic value to the state's IGR. They are also the two most populated lga in the state. The current governor is executing kindergaten projects meant for local government chairman and the annoying part is that he keeps disturbing us with pictures on his social media pages. |

Though the OP want to spare the Governor but want the Local Government Chairman to be responsible, that's what it should be. But the reality states that in Nigeria practice of Democracy, the Governor have weaken and relegate the Local Government administration. This has serious affect development. To settle the matter on ground, the LG Chairman should be able to pass your complaints to the Governor. That sango road lies under FG/SG, both have been clueless, budget caption on that same road year in year out, still no good road network in Sango axis |

when will u guys understand that the current Naija system will not work o? If u like, bring saint Moses as the president and governor, it will not work. Only the politicians enjoy this system simply becus the system has a way to make them under perform. It is too unitary! Una dey do sentiments. Europeans and even Americans understood this long ago, that is why Europe has more of sovereign nations than states. And in situation where they have sovereign states, they ensure that the system is not unitary. The current system makes the state and local govt useless. State is overburden with little control over major factors that determine economy of their state. While the central govt is busy flexing in Abuja.. Take a look at ur national assembly, they practically do nothing but get highly paid! Make una dey dey laugh agitators of restructuring or separate country when una beloved country is not working. Nigeria is not working and can never, ever, ever, ever work even in the next 50 years as long as we continue like this. Those people agitating for restructuring or separate country love Nigeria more than u all who have refused to support this. There is no country with multi ethnic composition like Nigeria that practices unitary federalism that is developed. Lie lie! 2 Likes |
