Why should anyone be paid 35k (less than 100$) per month, let alone in Lagos, let alone by Dangote, the richest black person?

This is ridiculous if true

I have said it time and time again Nigeria’s economy would be far better if we never had Dangote. His impact is so negligible compared to revenue he has been siphoning from Nigeria through political buhaha.

Across his African market the price of cement is the highest in Nigeria where he is technically a monopoly. Just wait till he is done with his refinery then you guys would start paying for fuel through your noses.
I know no one is stopping you from establishing one.Do you know how tough it is to keep business alive in Nigeria

These are not Dangote staff. They are workers under some contractors. Dangote doesn't owe salaries.

I don't the reason why many Nigerians think with their anus.

Like the slowpoke you quoted, he never knewnthat every prpject to be execute has been settled from the starting.
by settling...it means they sign the contract not all project are fully paid for before starting....some are giving mobilization fund up to 50% based on the contract

where do you think dangote and Banks get that huge amount to give immediately....they pay bit by bit according to agreement that why the fund of the project give increasing based on inflation from $11b to $13b and over $17b now

Army was deployed after the melee involving the police. No one was killed in Dangote Refinery.

The protesters in frame 3n4 who were reportedly killed are doing fine in the hospital after sustaining injuries.

The Army officer has calmed things down with his address to the crowd.

Nigeria Army need to start sending all their personnels to compulsory human relations and skill & arms courses.

Why shotting protesters at any slightest provocation
I think you meant to say police here.

So as an organisation when their employees use company vehicle to violate my right and damage my property it's also my responsibilities to check after corruption in the company... A simple 3rd party Insurance covers that if Dangote was serious about compliant of people on his trucks

Your fist statement was to accuse Dangote of being greedy due to an incidence that was as a result of recklessness on the part of the idiot driver.

For your info Dangote trucks are insured...I'm not holding brief for them but I know rom experience that truck drivers in Nigeria are the most dishonest and difficult-to-manage set of employees a person can have

Dangote is just too greedy

His trailer destroyed part of my sister's shop, and we held the driver, the man was basically in tears begging us , telling us he earns just 40k has family in sokoto.... After detaining the truck for 4 days calling all Dangote group contacts, we just had to let the man and the trailer go, he had nothing to eat, and still prayed 5 times a day in a spot we gave him

Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Coca Cola and all furtune hundred companies treat their company staffs really good and still make profit, the companies still keeps growing

And to the Idiot above me qouting me, common sense should tell you prompt payment of contractors means prompt payment of workers wether permanent staff or contract staff, should Nigerian citizens get mismanaged and abused by Indian/ Chinese contractors hired by Dangote, he should look into it

How is it dangote's fault that the salaries wasn't paid , arrangements have been made before the operation goes , definitely it's the construction company or the financial board that is oweing it's (staff) even though these people looks like casual workers.

Keep disguising as if you don't know that there's is corruption in the private sector..

Oga what he said is correct. The workers demanded for a better pay but Dangote ordered for them to be sacked. He only cares about his Forbes ranking. Doesn't pay his staff well.

Of course its expected, you can only make better salary in Nigeria if you are working for a multinational company. African company owners are just greedy.

Dangote is part of the cabal that has troubled this country, he is a greedy monopolist that with the help of successive governments and his hausa background has been able to courner the Nigerian economy for himself....just last year alone he avoided paying #1trillion in taxes but the Nigerian government continues to tax and oppress the small guys...he is given preferencial treatment in government.

Re: Gunshots At Dangote Refinery Ibeju-Lekki Protest (Video) by Nobody: 6:48pm On Nov 03, 2020
Prefencial treatment has enabled him get mining rights without much struggle, countless number of individuals who have met their untimely deaths due to the poor driving of his trialer drivers are never compensated, but he hardly feels it because the insurance company will get him another truck, from sole monopoly on certain imports to import bans which favor his companies and low or zero interest on loans given to him, someone like this won't care about saff, much more contract staff
