How is this a good news
Babalakin fought this man on basis of corruption, Babalakin was a man of integrity and fought against this corrupt man when he discovered that the Federal government was bias about the issue, he had to resign...You can make ur research from unilag staffs..
This is a disgrace to the so called government that promised to fight corruption while it's clear they are aiding corruption...

Nothing. She was appointed in Acting capacity. She will go back to her previous role as Deputy Vice Chancellor. No issues

Babalakin fought a good fight. The system is corrupt. The power that brought Ogundipe to power and the power he is settling with corrupt practices is the ones that reinstated him. Babalakin is a very experienced Lawyer and an investor of no easy means who have tried to contribute to the development of Nigeria despite many obstacles.

The outcome of the visitation panel's investigation has been preempted by Bar Babalakin in his resignation letter. We are not surprised Ogundipe is reinstated.

Nairaland also tried by supporting the Minister of Education visitation panel thread, a nairaland user - babaolofin wrote a very incisive comment when Bar Babalakin resigned, unfortunately, while reading that comment, it was deleted by nairaland administrator, only comments against babalakin were allowed.

The Minister's Press Statement should tell us all allegations levied on Ogundipe and how he was cleared.

You just spoke like a man who is matured and experienced.. I don't know why some people support corruption so much, Unilag staffs as I speak are annoyed with this development, Not all staffs though because some are also corrupt... We need People like BABALAKIN in government.. People that stand out of the crowd

I doubt if the coming back of indicted Unilag VC is a good sign for our struggle and fight against corruption that is endemic in Nigeria. The coming back of the VC is confirmation of the hypocrisy of flaunted fight against corruption by Buhari govt .I am surprised Babalakin was left alone and abandoned by Buhari govt that came to power on the basis of his promise to fight corruption headlong without fair or favour. I am also wondering why the vice president Yomi Osibanjo kept quiet and appears indifferent even though he once held sway in Unilag law professor and HOD. There are lots of questions begging for answers, Is the VC not indicted of corruption ? Is the process of his removal not in line with the established rules and procedures?. All these questions needs answers from the government that exonerated the sacked VC.The white paper that cleared the VC should be published in the interest of public and justice for the corruption crusader in the person of Babalakin. The white paper will also provide explanation and hope to those who believe the fight against corruption is not a lost battle in Nigeria. The need for eradication of corruption in all facets of our life ,the ivory tower inclusive is a battle that must be won with no sacred cows or scape goats.

The VC should count himself very lucky and should ensure probity in the financial affairs of the university henceforth.

Babalakin should learn lessons and never again underestimate the opponent while overstating your own importance.

Unilag can now prosper

Buhari is not on top of his anti corruption fight.otherwise one would have expected him to support Babalakin to fight against the rot in Unilag. Efcc should have been invited to investigate and prosecute the VC on the fraud allegations
Something is definitely wrong with the way Unilag VC fraud allegations was being handled I can smell rats , acts of sabotage, compromise ,,nepotism and sacred cow syndrome
