How did they get money for all these?

It's called charity donations.

Most of the people involved already had jobs and were using their own money to help the protest.

A normal protest comes and go not escalate even after government have listen to your request.

The government didn't listen, they rushed to create SWAT just days after the protest, they didn't protect the protesters and abandoned them to thugs, they didn't arrest James Nwafor or other SARS officers but allowed them to run away and evade justice.

They provided food, water, medicine and legal aids. This is what you do when you want to start a revolution.

No this is what people do when they have human kindness and empathy, a trait I'm sure you do not possess.

This is what people do when Nigerians get arrested unjustly, get attacked by criminals and waver because of hunger.

Are you so in love with suffering or oppressing others that you can not understand young people helping others towards a better Nigeria?

And what is bad about starting a revolution, since the government refused to be wise??Leaders failed themselves, they should go to hell.
They can fight people asking for good leadership, but pamper bokoharam "the real terrorists. I really hope for a stronger protest ,that will wipe those bastards off their various positions.. Old fools ,called leaders...

Revolution is subversion and breaks every law in Nigeria, revolution is a coup by marxists.

How is government pampering boko haram terrorists?

The level of illiteracy in Nigeria is high.

Instead of people to argue logically, they will turn logical comments to an abuse match.

The CBN has every right to block those accounts

The police have every right to lock you up forever and even shot you dead. Therefore they should go ahead locking people up and shooting them to death. That's how ridiculous your arguments sounds. Nobody is saying they do not have the rights. The question is WHY? What crime did they commit that warrants they lockup. has CBN provided this? Or are they just being unduly targeted and intimidated?

I find it hard to reply people that do not understand how government works or how financial systems works.

People like you will enter trouble for so called charity donations one day.

50 dollars charity donations to an organization supporting terrorism has sent people to jail before.

There's one thing that the government does where they turn issue A into matter D, was the Endsars protest terrorism, their reason for freezing those accounts is wrong, people cannot ask for their own fundamental human right and be tagged terrorists

How is government pampering boko haram terrorists?

"Repentant" terrorists this year got fed and clothed like Kings, were given a hero's welcome and released back to their communities serving no punishment for their crimes.

Unsurprisingly they went back to their villages to kill again.

It seems terrorists who fight to destroy Nigeria get treated better then those who fight to fix Nigeria.

CBN is an independent agency not under Federal Government get education, I mean proper education on how government works

And anybody with suspicious transaction usually to the tune of $10,000 get flagged by banks, while CBN goes to court to get a court order to get the account frozen pending the determination of the source

It's quite ironic that you are the ignorant one here. Even the most recent CBN Act (2007) links it's "ownership" to the Nigerian Federal Government.

No need to overthink this. Even illiterates know that the Govt has a measure of control over the CBN under "due process" (a term that is alien to the Nigerian reality).

And anybody with suspicious transaction usually to the tune of $10,000 get flagged by banks, while CBN goes to court to get a court order to get the account frozen pending the determination of the source

See the folly in your submission. How many of the ENDSARS sponsors (whose accounts were frozen) could have sent in a million naira?

Rinu, one of the targeted sponsors, in her words, had only just over 200k sent into her account (from several persons), and out of her account (to treat wounded victims).

Apparently, many sponsors whose accounts are frozen sent as low as 10k.

Why should we blatantly argue against a bare-faced truth.

Even very uneducated people should know all this...

Several senate committees have oversight functions on Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian custum. That's principles of seperation of powers

Google the meaning of oversight

Google the CBN act and come back here to clear this trash

Obviously the money was to assist #Endprotesters with various needs ranging from medicals, feeding, logistics and bail. Is that terrorism??

Can cbn freeze any bokoharam sponsors account in this country? They dare not bt can intimidate innocent protesters accounts to intimidate them.

Good point from Mr. Governor. But there are a thousand and one persons that need to have their accounts frozen and investigated (if that is the right procedure). These persons are the Nigerian politicians.
I however question the procedure because, I expected investigation first before freezing of the accounts (if need be).

Sometimes, its logical to assume that not everyone understands the nitty-gritty of how things work and need to be educated. But that being said, my position remains that after the CBN froze the accounts on the allegations of purported involvements in terrorist activities and involved a court that has the jurisdiction to prosecute these matters, why weren't court summons issued, nobody was subpoenaed, everything was business as usual, depicting a negative and malicious intent in the first place.

The court that has the jurisdiction to freeze someone's account on the allegation of terrorist activities involvement, also has the same jurisdiction to prosecute the individuals.... but nothing (rien) was done.

It goes to show the real intentions of the account freeze.

*The Nigerian Government... Not the Nigerian Executive arm of the Goverment

*Jonathan nominated Jega as INEC Chairman and still lost, INEC is as independent as CBN

* Even if her closing balance is 200k, Cash inflows exceeded that so she is still regarded by Nigerian law to explain like any other account owner

CBN flagged transaction irregularities as being done on all accounts, not EFCC or any Direct FG agency
