Trains do develop technical fault also abroad and passengers have to alight to take another train. The only problem with that of Nigeria is that there are no options when there is a break down.Abroad , the driver of the train manage to take the train to the nearest train station and another train is provided for the passengers to continue . I think nigeria shud allow private individual to run rail transport .In europe , most of the trains are owned by private people through shares ,private people should be allowed to have trains , run transport business with their trains .it will create jobs for the people .also most of the rail lines in europe are sponsored by Europe union to facilitate movement of goods., I wonder why Africans and African union can not be United. We don't need to be critiscising government all the time ,europe is working because most of the things are in private hand ,the government only provide a favourable ground for private people to invest . We can't be burning buildings during protest and expect investors to come to our country .

The Kaduna-Abuja Train Station breaks down again leaving passengers stranded. This time it breaks down in the middle of the bush.
Recall that the train service broke down not long ago which made minister of transportation Rotimi Ameachi to Apologise to Nigerians for the inconveniences.

It however didn't take long for it to repeat itself leaving the passengers stranded in the middle of the bush. The passengers were seen protesting the incident inside the train. The train attendant was seen trying to calm the already pissed passengers who questioned the rationale for moving a faulty train just to risk their livess

They shld thank God it didn't break down in a Book haram enclave, otherwise it is RIP that will be written now.

I remember very well. They termed us "enemies of progress," others said APC govt achieved what PDP govt couldn't. My thoughts were, "with old and substandard trains?"

You won't blame IPOB or Igbo for dis one? Werey!!

Sure it's IPOB's fault. Since Amaechi claimed to be IGBO. His credibility was gone. Amaechi single handedly bought these fake and substandard Trains from China.

APC govt is SCAM.

Look at the outdated locomotive train they brought in from China. They have started tearing apart within months of use.

Buhari and Amechi are animals

The train service don tire me sef. The most annoying thing is that they will notapologise, pacify or even notify passengers when the train breaks down. The next thing you will see is policemen running up and down the aisle as if na Indian film dem dey act.

I don't have a problem with fault happening on a train. They should make provision for another train to convey them to their destinations. And possibly refund 50% of their money for the inconveniences caused.

And it think this is what we mortgaged our country and the future of unborn generations for, you begin to wonder what kinda contract was signed with China.
European countries also take loans and buy from China but they get best of services and terms. Why does ours have to be different?
Why are we do wicked to ourselves?

what a fantastic scam of a loco project, these things each cost millions of dollars and it's breaking down less than a year! we know they were refurbished locomotives not even tokunbo grade

Heads should role and the government should pay heavy compensation for endangering the passengers' lives and all the inconveniences incurred by them.

Otherwise, this will repeat itself and by that time, bandits maybe be waiting.

It is very sad to see things like this happening. We know that the management of these things can't be 100% in management but hello, we should be prepared for situations like this. That spot is a very dangerous spot for kidnapers if I m not mistaken and it could harm the passengers.

Why move the train when you know the train is faulty?

The problem with corruption is that it knows no limits. When the oga at the top inflates the contract to get his own share but give the subordinates the exact amount or even extra to do maintenance, the corrrupt subordinates too take their own and do shoddy maintenance. And the end result is this type of embarrasment. Instead of heads to roll it is excuses that will roll and the coruption continues.

Exactly.... they do daily tests, monthly and quarterly tests; they even project when it's likely to spoil and also check the impact of heavy snow and work with weather forecasts to divert routes if necessary.. .. the retrogression of Nigeria isn't due to bad leaders, it's because the vast majority of the population are lazy, indisciplined and sick in the head with toxic masculinity....

I just hope while being enthusiastic about painting the government bad, the person recording was prudent enough not to post the video online till they got to safety. An indiscretion of untimely publicity would have made their location known to bandits.

The great USA does not have Bullet Trains.... and you believe Nigeria should have them. If we do... you think you can afford to ride them? BREAKING NEWS..... the great USA has wayyy more ancient trains still in service.... lots of them. Go figure out why the train broke down... and no difference if it were a Bullet Train.

@ topic.... the conductor was real professional.... I really wonder what sooo many of the passengers expected him to do.... fix the train? They need to get to the Minister who keeps apologizing but not getting the problem fixed. Until the masses begin to attack those in charge... nothing will change.
