Red Penguin Books, an American Publishing firm based in the New York has offered a lifetime publishing contract to Nigerian writer, Godwin Cornelius Udagbor.

Stephanie Larkin, the CEO of the company announced the book project via the company’s website.
Godwin Udagbor’s "Cry of the Forest" was chosen first among the numerous submissions from authors across the globe because of his enthralling narrative.

Stephanie further narrated, that the fast growing publishing firm would be proud to work alongside Godwin as his publisher, to be able to deliver the work to salivating readers as they are traditionally known to do.

Godwin, a Biochemist, plucked creative writing skill in 2014 and fed the world with "Bena’s Dream Comes True". He waved a second one from the platform earlier created. This new one he entitled "Cry of the Forest", the cry which was heard in faraway India where Rukiya Begum did not delay in translating it into the most widely spoken language, Hindi.

Thereafter, Godwin received a hardcopy of the Hindi version.
The soft copy is now all over the world, which made it easy for Red Penguin Publishers to net for a lifetime contract with Godwin Cornelius Udagbor for publishing, for sales, for remittance of royalty for life. This is the contract.

The businesslike officials of Red Penguin proudly declared that they have chosen "Cry of the Forest" as one of the first projects under their first official imprint, The Global Edith. They added that this new branch of Red Penguin Books exclusively publishes works submitted by international authors and/or literature specifically chosen for its in-depth depiction of a foreign culture or globally relevant theme.

In the same vein, the company’s acquisitions editor, Kathleen has added "Cry of the Forest" to their catalog. Then she declared that Godwin’s work deserves that honour and that the talent in his manuscript would launch the writer like a rocket into space.

Speaking to journalists from Ebonyi Patriot Newspaper, Godwin described the book deal as serendipitous. The author further decried the moribund state of literary publishing in Africa. He disclosed that millions of exceptionally talented writers are unheard of, because the culture of traditional publishing in the continent had since declined. Stating his own experience, Godwin said “I came to a moot point in January 2018 when a publisher rejected my works in Nigeria."

Godwin also revealed that three of his books were contracted to Red Penguin-Global Edit, including "Cry of the Forest", "Bena’s Dream Comes True" and "The Lawless gods."

In his acceptance letter to Red Penguin Books-Global Edit, which was guided by his lawyer Barr. James Femowei, the author promised a good working relationship with the company owing to their incurable love for books.
