1. Insecurity; He felt that girl was above him and since they had been together, he had to scare her to stay with him, you can't scare a woman to stay with you, she's gonna outgrow it and she's gonna go, it's just a matter of time.

2. Immaturity; Those reasons are too cheap to get angry, he was intimidated and lacked confidence the girl would stay, he was afraid to lose her, so he did those things out of fear of losing her, the thing is if you can't manipulate a woman emotionally, someday she's gonna go, especially if you are almost broke.

3. Weakling; A weakling as a man is one who sees an independent lady as a competition instead of blessing, someone who can pay her bills. He felt in the relationship that the lady had nothing she needed from him, that there was no way she was depending on him which brought down his ego, believe it or not, when a man loses his ego, he feels pointless being in this world. He is a kid because no matter how rich a woman is, she needs emotional gratification, but since he's not capable of understanding such and couldn't provide that particular need, he had to go nuts.
