lazkizz: Not all of us. Politicians are fed by government with enough supply to meet their needs. They don't even know the prices of food in the market. Unfortunately, they are the ones making policies to control millions of Nigerians 1 Like |

Closing border to trade, shows insecurity in your country's ability to be creative, and have a grip on expertise. Failed strategy. If Nigeria does something better than America, America will try anything to know it and know it better. China, UK, Israel, and other great countries have this mentality. Now, if it's about outperforming a competitor to control price, why not be confident in your expertise and build more base to help demand. Machinery is very key in agriculture. Constant electricity is also very helpful. Knowledge of what you are doing is very important too. 1 Like |

Xisnin: This is quite true, I watched a chinese documentary where the government admitted that Mao's policies were not working and that the country's economic turnaround started under Deng Xiaoping who opined that if communist economic policies were not working for the country that the economic policies that works should be pursued, regardless of the country's political inclination. The above meant that freedom was given to individual entrepreneurs to produce ,market and make profit from their businesses, which created billionaires and millionaires in the country in the period between the late 1970s' to the present time. It also exposed chinese businesses to the world as being purely driven by rationality and practicality and caused the world to patronise them in great number which led to their being very wealthy. NB: A personal example - I needed to supply an item to a school in Nigeria within three months, a relative helped me make enquires from a British supplier who stated it was only possible to get such supplies in about 12 months time. I , however got a chinese supplier who was able to supply them within two months ! 1 Like |

blacknp:go and read about the revolution of China stop saying nonsense. When China practice what Nigeria is practicing now millions of people died, when they realized the policy is not working out they threw the border wide open. They allow foreign investors to establish their business and diversify the economy that was what make China great not because they lockk up the border, if you are into agriculture u will know the federal government is not getting it right. Imagine newly cereal crops that was supposed to be store for next year use has already the hit the Market and even scarce at this time, if we finished what was meant for next year storage this year how do we cope 2021. Farmers are not producing enough because of insecurity and other factors and yet you close up borders. U said people needs to die before the economy will be better the question is who is ready to die? Ur family?. The people in government how many of them are eating locally produce? |

blacknp: Don't let me call you an idiot, Do you think Nigerians have been eating made in Nigeria rice Upon all the border closure we are still eating foreign rice everyday go to the market to see for yourself. If truly Nigeria rice is yeilding now how much is it? Another think is Boko Haram killing farmers in numbers and you think local production can save Nigeria. My guy rethink o cos you just sounded very stupid |
