ILoveDemMANNA:The problem now is that some countries which majority of Nigerians reside or where the inflows come from may barred Nigeria from receiving due to scams and if it has a toll on their of economy due to fraudulent deals from Nigeria, Nigeria may not benefit from this policy. |

Government can't manage anything it better to make it profitable and leave it in private hands.. Naira fall is as a result of Crude oil price.. Etc.. It like u don't understand how Nigeria works before u start insulting labor... So u think labor means well for the power sector if they still want government to subsidize... If PHijo: |

You dont know what ur saying..that man is pushing hard to back the naira... U have absolutely no idea how economics work... There was a time oil was above 145 dollar per barrel....past CBN governors did not use that opportunity to save Forex... Now oil is hovering around 47 Dollar.. that more than more than 67 percent crash...plus the present covid 19 issues...and u still expect the CBN not to devalue the currency...I don't know how some people think..maybe u believe those guys at CBN are doing magic... emefiele tried but u won't know....dollar was N500 few days ago..and immediately rolled out a new policy to ease Forex inflow from diaspora...if u think d man isn't doing well do u seriously believe that daft nepotistic buhari who cherishes only northern people will still allow him to lead the CBN since 2015? Tekrify: TRASH. Emefele was part of the previous administration. He came in when one Dollar was about #200. But his incompetence brought us to where we are today. Since he came in, the Economy has suffered too much. The man is clueless, if i were the President, I'll sack the Man straight up. |

Slowly but steadily the naira is going the way of the Zimbabwean dollar. Scrap the naira or re-decimalize it like soludo wanted to do during the era of Yaradua and the corrupt rogues stopped him. If this is not done soon enough we are finished in this country. We need a New Nigerian Naira now!!! |

purissimo1998: THE BELOW IS WHY YOU SHOULD STOP SENDING MONEY TO NIGERIA STOP BEING A SLAVE! In 2018, migrant remittances to Nigeria equaled US$25 billion, representing 6.1% of GDP. This also represents 14% year-on-year growth from the $22 billion receipts in 2017. The 2018 figure translates to 83% of the Federal Government budget in 2018 and 11 times the FDI flows in the same period. 90% OF NIGERIANS IN OVERSEA ARE FROM THE SOUTHERN (WEST, EAST, SOUTH) PART OF NIGERIA, CONTRIBUTING 83% OF THE NIGERIA BUDGET. IS LIKE THEY WERE SENT OUT ON SLAVERY TO MEET UP THE GAP CREATING BY THE OIL REVENUE NIGERIANS IN THE DIASPORA, STOP SENDING MONEY TO NIGERIA, YOU DON'T NEED TO BUILD OR BUY ANY PROPERTY HERE, STOP THE ILLUSION OF HOME IS HOME YOUR HOME IS WHERE YOU ARE MAKING YOUR LIVING, WHERE YOU HAVE YOUR RETIREMENT, YOUR 401K LET'S TURN THE $25 BILLION TO ZERO IN THE 2 YERAS |

Tekrify: Through the years the price of a barrel of oil has fluctuated widely sometimes falling to as low as $10. Inspite of that the dollar remained at less than N360 and that is because govts before Buhari and stoopid Emefiele had not frittered away Nigeria's foreign reserves and borrowed enough to put you, your parents, children and your grandchildren in perpetual poverty and economic slavery. Emefiele has been experimenting with unproven and bizarre economic principles that has led to a collapse of the Naira while Buhari sleeps. You don't know what is coming. You will eat your shit. |

Lol...sack him bring another person ..the same will still happen... Dollars was N200 when oil was above 145 dollars per barrel... Oil is 46 dollars..more than. 60 percent drop...and u want dollar to remain N200... Have u Guys forgotten that we have always gotten more than 90 percent of our forex from oil.. When u guys want CBN to be performing magic u won't reason with ur head... OPEC has asked all it members to reduce their oil production to create scarcity and stabilize prices.. We used to produce 2.2 million barrels.. That figure is down to less than 1.7 million barrels... But since u guys reason through ur anus...u still leave all this realities behind and expect dollar to be N200 in 2020... So u know better than the entire board members in CBN BIGGESThead6: |

Let me explain... The stability and growth of and economy is determined by the amount of Forex flowing into it.... We get Forex from FDI, diaspora and the commodity we sell which is oil... The more the Forex the healthier the economy and stronger the currency and vice versa... So yeah...am in support of more forex teeytimi: |
Re: Labour backs Emefiele on CBN’s Naira valuation by Tekrify(m): 3:16pm On Dec 07, 2020 |
Look...am no sure oil every fell to 10 dollars..I don't believe that... Now oil u can't compare the amount of things we waste Forex importing today to what we imported in 19s..our population as by far risen...so what 50 dollars per barrel of oil could support in the 19s .it can't support the much import we are involved with in 2020.... We spend our forex importing all we do is import..we hate our local commodity..it even accepted that anything produced locally is not what better than foreign product..so we keep consuming to the extent we import rice and fuel even maize.... So can u put all the blaim on emefiele...the time buhari banned rice ..y'all were yelling...can u imagine us spending over 17 percent of our forex to import food and over 20 percent to import petroleum products.... Please blaim the leaders...this things are clear... emefiele isn't responding for agriculture neither is he responsible for petroleum resources... Pennywise: |
