This is commendable. The government is trying really hard to make things better for us all. We all need to be supportive. Three gbosa for our president.

Good development. They should just run commercial for now. There is no point running a passenger service. It is not presently viable.
Once more. The grand plan has to involve completing the Lagos - Ibadan Highway and tolling it to share the traffic. If not the rail line will become a white elephant. It is obvious it was too costly to build from a commercial stand point and this is because it has scant local content.

Now that we have done this one can we begin to turn our attention to the infrastructure that reduces the cost of buildingnew infrastructure. We havbecement covered. But without a viable steel and petrochemical industries we will not be able to deliver or deploy critical, fixed infrastructure in a timely, affordable manner. Get Ajaokuta working please. If only to produce tracks, sleepers, fish plates and spikes for the next two decades, Nigeria will be covered completely by rail lines affordable ones.

you are right but let me remind you that every ongoing project in Nigeria has high level of steeling, from Iron rod to cement, diesel, granite and many more.

Other cline don't sabotage their development like we do.

The government should endeavor to lend the rail platform to other investors who are willing to bring their own coaches from overseas to share the rail facilities just like it's done for the BRT lane .

This way government will generate more fund for the maintainace of the rail system and cost will also drop .

It will enhance competition and drop in ticket price

5000 naira to get to ibadan when it's 700 and I'll get a good bus. They should complete Lagos rail project within the state, that has more commercial value than this over bloated project that is not necessary. I heard it would link to Kano and then Niger republic. So that more herdsmen can move to the south west.

please do intra Lagos rail line linking alalimosho to agege and then Victoria island and lekki with other parts of the state Lagos traffic is killing

SMH

Even if it is constructed within the rooms in your house, you will never be grateful.

I have been asking when we shall get the Lagos-Benin-Asaba-Onitsha-Owerri-Aba-Port Harcourt rail line up and running.

The volume of passengers on that route will surely make it one of the most profitable rail route in the country as well decongest our roads of heavy vehicles as the containers can be carried by rail too

From your speech, one can deduce where you come from but that is your problem, your case reminds me of an adage that there is nothing you can do that your enemy would appreciate, people like you would call the leg of a goat meat bone when in the plate but when discarded into the bin, you would still complain why they discard such juicy meat.

My friend, keep dreaming. When the intra rail project from Marina to Okokomaiko is going to take 25 years to complete. Anyway, there's nothing wrong in wishful thinking!

nonsense Talk!

if you hear or know how much budgeted for that project compare to how much really spent you will know that Government don't care for our betterment but their Pocket and selfish interest

if you also look at the high cost of transport from Lagos to Ibadan Via their Rail you would know they care less or none about US knowing majoritiy are below poverty line and Underemployed or Unemployed yet they increased the Fair 5times Regular road fare price

If what you're saying is true then Nigerians should boycott the train stations.
