Massage. But then it depends on the location.

for me, if a boutique is not situated in a general clothing line area, it might be a bit slow as people tend to first go to a clothing line arena before thinking of going into a secluded area.

Modified

Oh.. just read through.

Since its in ikoyi, go for massage. Anything spa and beauty supplies sells fast in ikoyi. Though you can have a mini boutique by the side. Like yinka bodyline. She's into cosmetics and still runs a boutique in a small section at the back of the store.

So, spa will attract them and from there you show them your boutique. It's all up to you though.

I was watching Spice TV yesterday and they were showing a Youth Conference Dinner Meeting For Entrepreneurs. A Lady got up to talk and she said....

"Who is an Entrepreneur? An Entrepreneur is somebody who starts up a business he or she is PASSIONATE about".

The key word there is PASSIONATE.

My sister, start something you are passionate about. That is what will keep your going and sane in the harsh economy we live in. Don't copy others. Don't follow others. Follow your heart. Follow your passion and leave their passion for them.

This is because business is not easy at all. There would be dry days...days of no sale...In fact months of no sale. This can lead a person to depression. That's why you see people start business today and after 6 months, they close down.

That's my 2 cents

Meanwhile let me drop this here.
When you save money in the Bank, you make ZERO Profit after months.
But when you put your money in Land Banking, you make 38% Profit in months.
That's Land Banking.
People are taking advantage of this right now.
After saving/investing, you get an Insurance Bond, Post Dated Cheque of your Capital and ROI, You get a Land worth the value of your investment plus other Xmas Incentives.
I call this Saving with Profit after some months with guarantee.

Think Smartly
Think Wisely.
So if u have funds you are keeping in the Bank that is wasting away and the banks keep reducing through charges, think Land Banking for the best place to invest in Earth is Earth Itself.

Good morning Nairaland.

I know this is not the right place to write this but I tried writing this in the business section but it is not working so I decided to come back here.

We all have plans for 2021 and one of my plans is to have a boutique somewhere around Ikoyi but recently I saw a post on the net of how lucrative massage centers are especially on the island and since then I have been having a second thought. I am now thinking of having a massage centre instead of boutique. Should I continue my dream of having a boutique or I should try having a massage centre.

Does anyone here has an idea on how massage centers run. Pls I need good and urgent advice so that I can make up my mind on time, thank you.

Re: Should I Continue With The Boutique Or I Should Opt For A Massage Centre? by Uzee24: 11:22am On Dec 12, 2020
Seeing a post about massage centre isn't enough to make you want to venture into it. The first question should be what knowledge do you have about massage and the business involved?

I also think that your 2M may not be enough to open a standard and attractive massage parlor and also considering the fact that you will be hiring a professional to handle it for you. Na moni you go pay the person or people o!

My advice is do your maths well and venture into something you can operate yourself without necessarily having to hire someone at the initial stage.

Am glad you have a dream of what to go into

Pls go for even if it's one month apprentice on how to go about body massage, it's something you have to learn considering the fact that you will be dealing with well matured people

You can separate a little part of the shop and display your boutique wears at least people that comes for body massage can still go there and feed their eyes and make a choice of theirs

I wish you good luck

You can do both, if there is no space, keep the cloth at home or a warehouse while u can keep catalogues or samples in the massage Centre for customers to view.

stick to your boutique idea while incorporating your massage center to it if possible cause i believe in diversification..try getting a space that would enable you to do both but be smart enough to start with the boutique then you can start the other one when the first business picks up
Madam, go for this advice the best so far. Start the one you know well then, plan for the second one soon

It is not that kind of massage.

Massage as used here is euphemism for prostitution.

Read between the lines.

Both are lucrative. If your finance can cover both, it's a notch you getting from me. Was into boutique but decided to go into properties. All the best if u decide on which to pick.
