Such bill can't even go beyond first hearing. Youths should instead get themselves ready, get a viable candidate, then rally round Sund candidate and vote massively and them wait for the magic... No candidate can without the massive support for the youth.

Age limit should be 60 years
Minimum age for any elactive post should be 25 years .

it doesn't favor their greedy souls, so they won't accept it...if civil servants have retirement age, then political positions should have retirement age too. we can't be having old,feeble and archaic people leading us all the time.

Was Obj, Buhari not part of the system, infact I have noticed the longer someone has been in the system the more they feel disconnected from the masses, the assembly should bring bills that will stem the current tide of corruption and nepotism.

A health 70+ year old shouldn’t be deprived of that right. Let the citizens decide if the 70+ year old isn’t good enough.
BTW this is Nigeria where people have multiple ages.

Our problem is not the numerical figure 70 years a man has spent on earth, but the quality of the contents of what he is carrying in his skull.
A person can be a shaff , visionless, uninspiring and unthinking at various ages below 70 years.
Age isn't too much an issue with our politicians but discipline, character, commitment and sincerity towards socio-economic and human capital development of our nation.
No country will develop if ruled by unthinking and accidental leaders.

That rep who suggested bringing it down to 23 years aught to be recalled. He must be very corrupt and void of the required values .
