For me, I'd target coins that did well against the past btc dips.

Coins like MATIC, SOL and maybe DOGE.

I talked earlier about hedging. When the prices start getting high, you should start getting cautious.
I was in XRP. Sold bulk of my position and started buying short when it was 1.4 kept buying till it was 1.6.
When XRPBEAR was at it's highest today I would have doubled my capital with some change. What I regret is not buying a short position on xBTC earlier, it was selling at a discount.

Although I'm still sitting on an XRP position worth $50 when I got in at 1.3.

You can still make money in a bear market, just tame your greed when the market is getting ridiculous.
