In this era of Covid-19 pandemic, a lot has been said about the cure. The United States of America has started administering its vaccine for Covid-19.

Africa, including Nigeria has a strong belief that it will overcome the situation. There are reports from NAFDAC that Nigeria will produce its own vaccine by January 2021.

This is the Neem tree, whose leaves are well known as insect repellents in Nigeria. Typically, a few dried branches of Neem, are placed amidst bags of beans and rice, to prevent weevils and other insect pests from contaminating the grains.

In traditional medicine, neem is also consumed as a tea, but only for those with a strong stomach, because the taste is one of the most bitter on this planet. One sniff of neem tea, is enough to trigger the vomit response in most people.
