Una go buy fuel for 500 naira. Guess they dont even know d people in the down stream sectors very corrupt and profit driving people. That refinery needs to be taken down and new one built, they are obsolete, we need mordern day refineries.

Yoo so wrong sir, during obasanjo regime the refineries were almost sold to dangote and otedola but the labour kicked against it and it was reverted and as of jonathan regime over 10 companies got licences to build refineries and ni single one made any attempt to do so until all the licenses were withdrew from them. Our rifineries are old and outdated, nigeria need to build new ones. When you talk about the oil cabals or oil mafias they from the down stream sector.

The same government used $1.9 billion to build railway in order to link Nigeria to Niger so that they can import petroleum to Nigeria. I'm pretty sure that that money can repair ours.

You are correct. Imagine where were the oil marketers all this while they were milking the nation, government is broke due to covid-19 hence turning the gaze at refinery just to have access to crude oil and then bring us to the same situation we are having with power distribution companies today.

modern refineries are not fault coming you should know that government are crying the have no money how then can the embark on building new one the government can strick a deal with guys can also regulate price just as the did in Nepa too

Yes, it should be given out free to them bcoz I don't know the essence of holding 4 refineries, spending billions of dollars and yet no drop of Pms came out of it.

In fact, in an ideal society those people that spent such mind blowing amount should be sent to jail.

Nigerians are suffering and frustrated. Something should be done bcoz every thing about us revolves around petrol and its price movement.

The citizens are gradually seeing less need for the government of the country

let me tell you, if marketers are allowed to do that we will be buying fuel at 500 per litre. The problem of fuel in Nigeria is cause by those selfish marketers. They are the ones that pushed federal government to a partial deregulation which inturned make us to be buying fuel at 168 now. The fuel scarcity we usually experience every end of the year is cause by those wicked marketers.
Some Nigerians don't know how wicked those marketers are.
