That lab is the most equipped molecular biology lab in Africa. They tested and and revealed the status of Patrick Sawyer. Even the USA embassy prefer the result from the lab than from Washington DC because it is both reliable and fast.
Mane are asking why they didn't speak up since. If they didn't speak up earlier, it is because they do not want to create panic as they are not the legal authority to broadcast that without the knowledge of NDDC. They probably raised the alarm to the government. However, what would happen if they create a panic? Would that have stopped the spread or would that have created a vaccine?

But even NCDC seem to be part of the research too So no need reporting to them, they already know

If NDDC is part of the research, they should be responsible for broadcasting it. However, as far as I know ACEGID, it is an independent research centre and NDDC contributes nothing to the research being done their but depend on them for results.
The best they can donate ACEGID is to publish their findings in a journal and not to make a public broadcast.
