I have faced these guys before, they are not quick to shoot (I was in a situation where the officer should have fired but because it was a raid and they have planed it long before the raid, they knew no one was armed so that was how lives were speared).

This is our Drug officers looking for marijuana smugglers on the road (personality, I don't like them, if you don't push big quantity of drugs, you have no problem with them).

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Special Weapons And Tactical Unit (SWAT)

Is not related to

Nigerian Police Force (NPF)
Special Anti Roberry Squad (SARS)

Do you expect NDLEA to catch interstates Drug dealers and couriers without stop and search?! Can they just seat in their office and the dealers would present themselves to NDLEA

.

SO DRUGS ARE NOW FOUND HIDDEN INSIDE PHONES IGP NEVER INSTRUCT THEM TO SEARCH PHONES. YOU MAY JUST BE THE NEXT VICTIM.

Any force can have a SWAT team

SWAT is simply an acronym for special weapons and tactical team
You can't just wake up overnight and have a SWAT team without having it published, unless something is fishy and Nigerians have a right to know what exactly is their duty..
What is an NDLEA SWAT team doing with the phones of NIGERIANS..
Which part of their job details, entails the search of citizen's phones?

It's all wrong when it becomes the normal day to day operational tactic of a very ill-trained paramilitary group, with all their nauseating and uncouth mannerism to boot.. Not even in communist China is that done! You guys should try to embrace modernity for once by imbibing civilized standards in sundry issues.. The whole nigeria is not a war front. The janja-weed party should stop taking us back to the Abrahamic days with their atarvistic policies..

That's how you guys just throw lies around.

In the US for instance, for minor traffic violations you could be pulled over a Terry frisk would be co ducted on you and a search on your vehicle.

With respect to phones being searched, none of us here know the true story.

I'll give you a scenario in which phones can he searched without a court order:

If child abuse/pornography is involved.

If acts of terrorism are suspected.

Making claims as if you know the story attached to the photos only speaks of your bias.

It's wrong!

SWAT is strictly for industrial crimes.

Think of a bank robbery in which involves hostage taking. and you call SWAT. They are used for operations that the ordinary police find hard to handle They are not to stand on the street and start checking papers

They are called to attend to high risk operations and not to stand on the street. They have zero business on the street.

You like to lie! That's your main problem.. You should come round to the fact that at a certain point in life, a man shouldn't lie , irrespective of the consequences.. I know of couple of passengers in buses going down to the east who have talked of these guys stopping their buses on the highway for no just cause. They will then start a general phone check. There were times in recent years where conversations between you and a foreign number became enough excuse for arrest..It happened in this country and it's happening in this country but you wiill choose to juggle the facts to suit your narrative

Stop digressing.

I have made it validly clear, stop and search is legal anywhere provided there is reasonable suspicion.
Even a broken taillight on a car is enough for a policeman to pull you over and conduct a stop and search.
It may be abused, yes, but it doesn't change the fact that the law backs it in advanced nations talkless of ours.

Power situation in Lokoja is the worst in Nigeria since The inception of this administration. I came home for Christmas to be disappointed as usual. Water supply that used to be 24 hours before is now 30 minutes in 2 days.

The worst is the story of a rich I man that I was told who visited Lokoja in last month(November) he said whatever it will cost for public light to be sustained, he will pay that he doesn't want to use generator. That was how they left the light on for 5 days uninterrupted for Tue first time in over 6 years. It left people wondering what happened to the light. You can ask your friends who reside in Lokoja to confirm if I am lying.
For the record Kogi is supplying parts of Abuja (FCT) stable light. It is sad Nigeria is failing by the second.
what nonsense is this

That is your interpretation.

SWAT as the name goes means special weapons and tactics.

Drug syndicates are often dangerous and armed.
They are often mean and vindictive.

It only makes sense for the Drug Law Enforcement Agency to protect its officers with weapons to mitigate against violent attacks.

What you wish and the reality of things are to be kept separate when you reason.

This is not bully. I no mean to insult you but your write up itself is an insult to innocent people been harassed by these men. Why will they search someone phone. I was once arrested because I no carry the receipt to my laptop I had to bail myself with lots of money. Tell me how is that a crime. A friend of mine came back from the US after 8 years there and was arrested because they saw foreign contact numbers on his phone list. In a sane country the police has no right to go through your gadgets without court order.
Then one politician will pay you little amount of money for you to come online to show case how stupid your brain has been washed so easily making it seems like the citizens like what these crazy police men do.
