I searched on jiji, saw the guy from Benin selling the Lexus es 300. I went to Benin from owerri with my colleague that lived in Benin and knows the area around August.

We sat at that big eatery mall in Benin city and the car came in looking very sweet. I did my inspection bearing in mind all I've learnt from gazzuzz and nairaland auto section. I checked the fans, they dont turn on when u start engine, I smiled. I checked engine bay, no funny wires.

I already bought my car scanner before then so I plugged it in scanned for errors and saw knock sensor and oxygen sensor errors only. I browsed these errors and saw they're cheap to fix and nothing very serious.

I inspected the papers, car was just imported in February, the guy has a printed copy of the vin report, I glanced through it saw the frontal damage and everything else was cool.

We drove to the guy house, with ac om. Everything was smooth, RPM was steady in hold-up, no jerking or funny noise. We completed the transaction and payment and everything. I got a driver to take me home and I was wowed in the journey. That car was the most powerful car I've been into.

The driver said we should off the AC so we can save fuel consumption I told him never to worry. Everything from steering, brakes, AC, legs, engine, gear was, 100% and I was as happy as I ever been my whole life. Car was speeding on Benin asaba express like a demon and sometimes it will bounce on the highway like a leather ball I was so wowed.

We got to owerri I called my friends to come and drive it they were wowed.

I took it home and started to learn how to drive. Car is as powerful and as excellent today as at then and I have only changed the oil and plugs.
because I used it to learn driving, it's due for shock absorber repairs. Everything is as intact and excellent as ever.

I love that car and my seller was as truthful as anything. Even uptil now I've never had reasons to change the tires I wonder if maybe they will never leak. Tires are yet to expire brand new. When we completed the deal, this good ma gave me 10k to use and buy spare tire on my way home because the car has no spare tire. Everything was blessed.

If u want to buy a car, stay away from dealers, normally na lie they will sell to u. Buy from end users, they have numerous accounts on jiji. How u know is end users always put up one car to sell in the entire account unlike a dealer that has dozens.

Also use the custom duty to check level of abuse. If possible, go for cars with less than 6 months use in Nigeria from date of importation.

Lastly, say a prayer for yourself.

Where do I buy a car scanner?

most times ,I read the advert that the person posts on jiji about the car,and I always go to the owner house to inspect it and not by the roadside.i always take someone who knows about cars..most agents on jiji usually lie about the condition of a car.one agent tell me say the civic is in perfect condition, when I reach there gearbox no good.always ask the seller if he or she is the direct owner.i always ask

After many years of suffering, rejection, pain and shame my turn finally came.

I got a six figures job late 2017, by late 2019, I made my first million, level changed, I went back home for Christmas and it was hard moving from Shoprite Ikeja to Eleko beach and night clubs, on Dec, 29, 2019 I bought a Honda Accord 2007 from jiji to ease movements.

I bought it Used from a Meds @ 700k, fixed interior, exterior, AC and some minor things, since then it's been nothing but JOY..

I'm still driving it till today.

In 2021, i hope to upgrade to Honda Accord 2010/Honda Crosstour 2011 or the greatest Accord 2020.

Bought my first car Honda Baby boy last year, after a failed attempt to get the one I saw on Jiji, the owner is a Med Doc, very clean Baby boy at a cheaper price, but my money wasn't complete for the amount he agreed to sell, I begged him that am a salary earner that he should be patient with me at the end of the month so as to complete the price he agreed, infact I became very familiar with him, I call him almost on a daily basis, he assured me he was not going to sell it since am a young guy hustling, but when the month ends, I called this guy Alas! I was shocked when he said he has changed his mind not to sell the car again, I was so disappointed, I knew he sold the car to someone else may be at a better deal or he needed urgent cash. I knew any attempt to keep the money with me, I will eventually touch it. I just strolled to different car stands looking for baby boy, non was available since it's old car, a dealer called the owner of one baby boy that the guy said he will like to change his car when he has money, the dealer convinced him to sell to me and keep the money so that he can hustle to get another car from him which he yielded. That was how I bought my Honda baby boy, I never regret buying the car though not as clean as the one on Jiji, but I am enjoying the car, no any issue with the car since I bought the car apart from normal change of oil. I am loving that accord, I don't know why some people are condemning Accord, the car can fly and very balanced.

chai how I wish me sef fit join put mouth talk how I buy my first car

mehn this life .sha...

lost my parents since I was 5yrs...live with my uncle, his wife showed my shege. treated me worse than a slave..I said that because atleast a slave or prisoner knows when to eat, and my uncle works at abuja, so not always ard..

funny things is I kept everything to myself, though my so called uncle knew what was goin too

omo to cut long story short, these ppl are rich, have about fours cars in the compound, even up till I was 18, 19 yrs old the wife never allow me to enter any of the car, not to talk of learning how to drive them...I only washed them, which after sometimes because of guilt, she told me not to even wash the cars anymore...

chai omo I don really suffer, that's y i envy those kids that live with and still have their parents intact...suffering as a kid is not something I will ever wished for my enemies, though am 26 now, still managing..

done with UNIVERSITY but still hoping my uncle could help with something...pls for those that still have any of their parents, cherish them, hug them more often, play with them...these are something I dream of all my life.

I never enjoyed any fatherly or motherly love...chai with what I have gone through, I will make sure I do anything for my kids if I eventually have, cause they must not suffer ooo..

I rather not have kids, than to have but no money to cater for them

I understand where you're coming from, but don't be a victim of your situation. There are many people who have successfully built a life for themselves despite losing their parents. You can do it too. Don't wait for anyone to help you. The truth is that the only people who will ever truly love you unconditionally are your parents. More often than not, others will try to take advantage of you. Just believe in yourself and try to figure things out. Try to surround yourself with successful people. You don't have to do anything illegal. There are a million ways to build a financially stable life legally. All the very best!

I'm about to buy my first car today, I'm really hoping this will be a good decision. So I saw an Honda DC on jiji some days ago, called a mechanic to come help me inspect the car yesterday. Unfortunately we we're unable to meet with the actual end user, who apparently gave the car to someone in his estate to close the deal for him.

Car body looks decent as it was the first body, my mechanic who's an honda specialist got inside the car checks the AC engine sound, etc all good.
Afterwards we took the car for test drive, AC was chilled as f, selection was accurate, breaks and shocks good too, no funny sounds. The tires were changed some months ago, the actual owner of the car really did maintained the car.

My mechanic was impressed he literally said I should not let the car go by, the fixes to be done on the car were kinda minor just scratch on the front bumper and headlights, then a small hire line crack on the windscreen which I can ignore till I can get a replacement. So we went back and renegotiate the price, but unfortunately their last price was above the budget.

We left and later in the day I called my contact to confirm the mileage on the car as I noticed we didn't check for that during the inspection, and he said he would confirm and get back to me, after sometime he sent a whatsapp image and guess what, this car has a mileage of 419,083 miles. shocked

I was kinda surprised that a car with such mileage still looks so good engine, body, interior and legs etc, and my mechanic was like that also skipped his mind while we were inspecting but assured me interms of performance that the car is a beast but mileage only means the owner used the car but also maintained it along side.

So I told my contact I'll get back to him this morning, so guys my ask is, does the mileage really mean that much when buying a used car, can I proceed with this deal?.
But I also suspect that he might have bought the car with a high mileage.

So yeah... that's my story. Will update y'all later today with some more pics and my final decision.

400+ is on a high side, but since your mechanic says the car is a good deal, you can use the high car mileage to try and beat the price down to your budget if he would agree and tell him you have cash and ready to pay. The car looks neat
Congratulations in Advance
