Please I noticed a disturbing scenario playing in my house as I came back for xmas... My 67yr old dad use to smoke weed (Igbo) in our sitting room.

When we were younger, he use to smoke outside and occasionally smokes around the house especially late in the night or in the wee hours.

As a matter of fact I'm 30yrs and I have another younger brother who's 27yrs then my sister who's the youngest. But Non of us smoke weed or have toed in his line... My mother has tried in that aspect not to raise us like that!!!

I brought this issue here because I need help on how to make my aging dad DESIST from that lifestyle... It breaks my heart seeing him popping smoke like that and it's degrading when we have visitors in the house... And secondly I'm wary of his health!!!

Hello, So I read post and im glad your making steps to help your father wish more sons can be like you. 1) At your Dads Age taking Marijuana is actually good for his health especially marijuana high in CBD it would help tackle chronic pain, arthritis or joint pain, anxiety and depression, sleep disorder, epilepsy and other seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis (MS) so best keep that in mind
2) I am Nigerian and i know how smoking weed is stigmatized, but this is the 21st century there are new ways to take marijuana if your against smoking, you have Vape pens, Marijuana teas, edibles, suppliments and so on. Best believe he would still catch a better cruise or high than his conventional smoking
3) Your father might just be and OG like that and has paid his dues and what makes him happy is smoking his regular 200 naira igbo and white rizzla in the comfort of his house.
Either way I feel you will love him either way <3

for my own opinion , i think smoking of weed is not a bad thing as long as it is not causing any harm to him , and he has been smoking right from is tenage age and now he is 67, how did you think you can stop what your mother couldn't stop him from doing ? And he hasn't ask for help from you . Please let the young man enjoy his weed before you cut short his youthful age . Please don't kill that young man in the process of trying to stop him from smoking.

Do your DAD abuse, molest or embarass you or anyone after getting high? If no, be a good son and let him be. Weed is far more healthy than cigarettes.

If there is nothing, the free the man. As long as he is responsible, don't bother.
