I think your earlier analysis is still valid, just that I increased my stop loss to 1723. I am still in a SELL to 1669.9. I think the 1660 - 1670 will be cheapest for a BUY to 1766 thereabout.

I am considering a scenario where the bulls push price to 1745/1750 before the bears take over.

Let's be watchful. Price is key.

But if 1700 is broken strongly, then the bears will take over.

I think the gold will be bullish
it has already tested the support at around 1680 from weekly chart. now it's direction will be towards the resistance at around 1760.

To be very sure, one have to wait for a bullish engulfing candle on weekly chart. Once this is achieved, it is a buy for me on the long run targeting 1760/1780 resistance as my Tp.

Consolidation and range mean the same thing..
When a market is consolidating then we can also say it is ranging cos it can't go beyond key support and resistance level at that time before it continues in direction..
So in general we can say the market is in a state of rest

So if we say a market is consolidating mean it is gathering momentum to resume it movement either to d upside or downside same goes for a ranging market too.. I will just use the word consolidation to generalize both choppy n ranging market..

consolidating market is a market that has no definition while a ranging market moves between support and resistance. Another term i can use for a consolidating market is a choppy market. If you see this kind of market, it is better u take a break from trading.

It depends on your capital and how you trade...
A zero account is commission based with little or no spread (0.1 spread for EU).
A micro account has bigger spread but no commission attached.( Not as big as fxtm though) ( 1.2 - 1.3 spread for EU)

You can check their site for more information on the commission charged per lot size and currency.

I guess the zero account is mostly used by scalpers because the commission is low sef and the micro/premium account is used mostly by swing traders

Exactly. But I am amazed with how folks are having such huge DD despite the 1:25 low leverage. In the next month contest. I am most likely going to disallow non currency pairs.
We all should understand that aside the prize money, am offering some funds to be managed and high DD will not be encouraging nor allow me to let you trade the account with such DD.
Make we calm down. Slow and steady only will help in the long term.
Folks in the past did it with all level of optimism and miss it. Lets not repeat the same mistakes. What I have observed also is that reds has a way of toying with ones emotion. Let me add more and this one will wipe that one and account is gone.

Nearly got to me last week before I told myself to calm down and trade like I was live.


My suggestion is that for next contest, let the opening balance be pegged at 500$ and leverage reduced to like 10:1 with crypto and other non currency pairs disabled. That way we all can participate and trade maturedly.
